LOVELY EMBROIDERY, tender presentation of comforting Lavender

These sachets with their contents are supposed to give off a perfume of lavender. I bought three of these packets and none of them give off anything approaching the real perfume of fresh lavender. The seed is obviously old and should be dumped. I will not buy from this source ever again.

I have some of these that I received as a gift a few years ago. They’re lovely. They have a cotton pillow inside that is filled with Lavendar buds. They’re made of very fine cotton like handkerchiefs used to be made out of, I think it’s called cotton lawn. The side seams do come apart if you aren’t careful to push the pillow of Lavendar up to the top of the pillow or sachet cover before you try to remove it, there is a flap that holds the Lavendar pillow in place that is sewed firmly in place. I think these are wonderful. They’re made of cotton fabric, they’re made with real Lavendar flowers, the covers are obviously hand sewn. In a day and age where a lot of people cut corners and think we don’t notice…we do notice…these people have made a product that’s real. They are high quality. The stitches are fine because the sachet cover is made of fine cotton lawn, so if you’re too rough with them the side stitches that hold the front of the cover onto the back can rip. The Lavendar pillows or inserts are stitched with an interlocking stitch around the edges because interlocking stitch is ugly and can be hidden on the insert, but it also won’t let the flowers escape from the pillow. I’ve been happy with these.
