Like all weapon cleaning brushes, these are expendable items. They are more than, "good enough" to get the job done. Great value for the money.

Need to purchase military issue cleaning kit,for using.

Had some corrosion or rust in my Garand chamber, which was preventing empty cases from extracting (bad enough that it would rip the rim off the case and leave the case still fully in the chamber). Using the right cleaning, lubricant, and polish in conjunction with this chamber brush, my rifle is back at 100% reliability.

These brushes are inexpensive and get the job of cleaning the chamber done quickly without disassembling the rifle.

I do read all of the reviews of products I purchase! You have to understand that this kind of item is not something that is going to last a great length of time. IT is a use and replace kind of item and this means that you need to be reasonable in what you are expecting out of it. Overall it is just that. Great product.

As noted by others, more for the M1A than the M1 Garand as it is too short.

One of the Honor Guard M1 Garlands had carbon build up in the chamber area making it difficult to cycle the operating rod. I used this brush to clean the carbon from this area of the bore. As the brush was turned in the chamber you could feel it begin to turn easier as it removed the carbon buildup.
