Bed Head Curlipops Clamp-Free Reverse Tapered Curling Wand, 1 Inch

I absolutely love this curling wand. I have super, insanely, ridiculously straight hair, yet I pine for curls. Never to be deterred, I continually keep trying to find the magic hairstyle to give me body and wave/curl. I have every size of curling iron under the sun, though typically would have to use a 1/2 inch in super tight ringlets just to have it stay at least a little wavy by the end of the day. Also I struggled because the weight of the hair would pull any and all curl out of the top half of the hair, leaving just some wimpy curls near the bottom.I recently commented to a friend that I loved her perfect waves, and she swore by her curling wand. I honestly assumed previously that there was little difference between a curling iron and a curling wand, but she was so positive about it and talked about how different it was, that I went down a rabbit hole of YouTube videos. That’s when I came across the idea of a reverse taper wand. The benefit to this is that it has a much smaller curl near my roots, which is where the curl usually relaxes the quickest. By having it a tighter curl up top and a looser curl at the bottom, it settles in to an even wave throughout.The best part is that this even wavy look stays all day long, all night long, and I can even wear it as a very relaxed wave on day 2 with a little dry shampoo. It’s fantastic!

This worked great at giving me volume while also allowing a looser wave towards the ends. Nice beach waves without the beach.

Easy to use and the curl really holds. The tapered barrel helps it look really natural.

I prefer a wand that is tapered at the base so the curls are tighter near my head and looser toward the ends. I'm a Hairstylist and I love using this on my hair and my clients. I just wish the wand was a little longer for longer hair. Heats up quickly and gets hot which makes curling hair go faster. No waiting with the hair wrapped around the wand.

I got this curling wand on a whim, as my previous one had broken and I couldn't find a comparable replacement. I'm glad I got this one! The cord is super long so I don't feel restricted, the finish is flawlessly smooth and I don't feel like it's torturing my hair quite as much. I don't often use the heat protecting glove but I tried it once and it fits snugly and will help prevent burns if you're not as used to using a wand like this. The curls last forever and have excellent volume which is a plus for my fine hair. My only complaint is that there is no way to adjust the temperature--I don't need the highest setting for my hair and am very conscious of how much unnecessary damage it causes. All in all I would definitely buy this again!

Very helpful in doing small light Power washing on my lanai. Would definitely recommend it.

This is a great wand! It heats up quickly and my naturally frizzy hair get curls that last days! My curls start smaller and get looser as the time passes and eventually I have beautiful beach waves. Get this wand!

I’ve tried using this product a few times now, and it always makes my hair turn out looking like I’m a girl from the 80’s... I have very thick hair, so it kind of compounds the effect. Like an old perm?I will try using it a few more times to see if I can get it to look good, but thus far having the curls placed so much closer to my scalp— which is the purpose of a reverse taper— just looks silly. It might look better on short hair, though. I have quite long hair.I’ll update if I can manage to get this tool to produce a decent look.
