Could gel better but hey it's ok for the price I guess

I recently went camping with a larger group and we only had one small porta-potty between us so I was anxious to try this powder out. It definitely absorbed the waste better and faster than I anticipated and helped decrease the unpleasant smell of the portable toilet. I didn't really notice a lemon scent but at least it masked the toilet odor. It also worked when one of my fellow campers had to go during our hike, with no toilet nearby. That's when it really came in handy because I don't like leaving anything in nature that shouldn't be there. These are very portable and didn't cause any "chemical" type of leaks in the toilet bag so we were able to properly dispose of the waste at the end of our camping trip. Excellent product for outings like this!!

We use this in our camp potty. Convenient packets, easy to pack and have on hand. You can go first then sprinkle, or sprinkle then go. Smells fresh, and works as it should.

This powder is highly absorbent. Not only can it be used in camping toilets as intended but for any liquid that needs to be contained for disposal. One packet was able to solidly gel 2 quarts of water and was able to absorb more even though it became more of an applesauce consistency beyond that. The solid gel is like that of a diaper lining when wet You just drop the powder in and as liquid is added it absorbs. I'm not a fan of artificial fragrance so I would prefer unscented, that said the scent is noticeable not overpowering but if left in a hot environment it does get stronger. It comes in a reusable plastic zipper bag with a clip to keep the packs dry, together and portable and can be refilled when your supply runs out.

I got these for our camping kit. However, I made sure to put several in our emergency storage area. Last year, my house lost sewer services twice. I’m so glad to know that I’m prepared for the future.

These, along with the appropriate bags, will prevent you from getting fined by park rangers, too.

Gave this a try at home before we head out later this summer. I wanted to make sure it would do what it was designed for before getting out. It does what it says. On the other hand, I usually think of "poo" as not being liquid (LOL). It does work well in our portable toilet inside plastic bags.
