Sometimes the ice maker works, sometimes it doesnt.

Bought this to replace a countertop bullet cube icemaker I had at my lakehouse. The first one worked fine but had stopped after about 5 years of use. This ice maker is much quieter and makes way more ice each day - and bonus - its the nugget ice like you get at Sonic.We typically have guests at the lakehouse every weekend in the summer Memorial Day through Labor Day. I have been impressed by the ability of this ice maker to keep producing all the ice we need.

Like the ice it made. But machine stopped working properly. Very loud sound as if it were going to seize up

With new machine trying to get it to work it never worked! It never produced any ice at all! We filled it with water, we cleaned it, we replaced the water, we made sure the plug was attached firmly after draining it and even before and it never ever produced any ice! It wasted six hours of our time as we tried to find the magic combination of actions that would make this thing work! It is disheartening to receive an item and spend this kind of time on it only for it to ultimately be determined that this is definitely a broken item. Also, customer service is not existent. We placed a call to customer service at opening time and they don’t answer their phones they indicate that you need to leave a number and an email address and we left all that and they never contacted us back. We did this again and they never contact us back, we tried again to call and they never answered the phones, only the same message with no intention to follow through with any assistance. We contacted them during their off hours and they asked for the phone number to be left and there is no option to leave it during off hours it just disconnects you. What a waste of time! I’m going to go with a different brand!

Incredibly sad to say this came in defective. We kept it for a bit before returning, trying everything to troubleshoot the issue because it seemed so perfect for our family. The box came damaged but the machine physically looked fine. We were unable to get it to work. Finally had to return, had to go to Staples and buy a box, packing tape, & bubble wrap to return it, about $30, then to ship it back was another $70. So even with the refund we are out $100. I would love to have reordered this because I assume it was just a fluke and had planned on ordering a 2nd one for my daughter but I having to pay to ship it back with no way to get that money back, it just didn’t make sense.
