Great for destiny fans
Bought this for at the reduced price & for £5.99 it's a must have for fans of the game as a collectable. Most of the bad reviews are in parts correct, troublesome to connect, doesn't stand up straight but isn't as flimsy as some reviews say & looks pretty cool comes in a nice collectable box too.Certainly not worth the £89 RRP but for £6 is a bargain. If you a destiny fan buy it.

doesnt work as a Destiny companion, but work as a display/toy
OK, I got the ghost when Amazon UK is selling it at £5.99. so the review may be slightly biased.I have spent 30+ minutes in trying to set it up: connect to Wifi, link bungie account, setting up Alexa on mobile etc, and have to gave up eventually. As Alexa keeps telling me, ghost has been unable to connect to the Tower. So now it is a fancy, unstable paperweight. As a £5.99 Destiny 2 Collectible - toy, non working bluetooth speaker, non working interactive tool to help with playing Destiny 2, I think it is good value. It defintitely beats going to Etsy to buy a 3D printed Ghost shell.Although electronically it is not working, but I am planning to spray paint this red to make it into one of the bold red shell in Destiny 1.

Cool gadget for a Destiny 2 Fan, could get better wtih software improvements.
I bought this as a big Destiny fan who always wanted a life size ghost model with lights (yes I'm that sad) so the fact it talks and integrates with Alexa is a big bonus. Practically it was easy to set up, though pay attention for the loose piece of paper featuring updated set up instructions that should be floating around in the box.In use I find it works moderately well paired with my echo dot. It does like to tell me that I've done everything (even when I haven't) and then go on to say what I need to do in game which is a bit weird but maybe ghost likes to start on a positive note! Saving and equipping loadouts works moderately well for me. However on occasion ghost saves the current loadout overwriting one I asked for instead of equipping... eg I have my crucible loadout equipped and I want my strike loadout and ghost mis-heard and saves the crucible loadout over the strike one which is frustrating. The red LED power light is a bit bright also, we like the living room dark when watching films and the red LED is so distracting (as I have it placed on TV cabinet next to the TV) that we have to turn Ghost around. Update. A small piece of black electrical tape solved this very well. I can still see the lamp is lit but it's not distracting.I haven't explored the lore phrases much yet but there's apparently an easter egg that turns your ghost into Sagira if you ask about Osiris. All in all an expensive but cool addition for a Destiny fan. Also to answer for my opinion compared to other reviews...when you take into account that dumb 3D printed life-sized ghosts for for ££-£££ the price of this isn't so bad.

Fun Gimmick. Go for it if £20 or less.
If you're a collector or a Destiny fan then you'll love this.Connection is simple to do - I can't understand people having issues? You just follow a very simple set of instructions. All of which are included. I set mine up with the Alexa App on my phone in maybe 3 minutes.Yes - retail for this was unbelievable and the simple technology and the build of the product does not warrant the price tag and I would be fully leaving a one star review if I paid the RRP.Yes it's flimsy and the constant power connection like all Echo devices is an issue but if you want a little gimmick then don't pass this up.Especially for £20 and under. It's a bargain. A bit of fun and yes it does have limited capabilities and is just a relay from another Alexa device (so you literally just need the Destiny skill) but like I said - for the price it is now. Go for it.

Can't even use as a paperweight
Spent a good two hours getting this thing to work, from factory resetting, to forwarding port 8883 on my router, to doing a software update (clicking the mode button 5 times). It simply does not work. All sound comes out from my Amazon echo, and 90% of the functionality doesn't work. Always says "error connecting to tower" and it won't load your gear and does nothing useful in regards to the game. The wire it comes with is short, and the ghost also falls over a lot. The red LED is annoying and unnecessary.Do not get, even for £5. It just doesn't work. Can't even use as a paperweight because it falls over and is made of cheap light plastic.

Maybe if you're a fan, but even then probably not..
Even at the £21 price point it's probably asking too much. It's very cheaply made and it shows. No paint whatsoever, just plain black plastic with a huge red light on the front which can't be turned off which makes it look stupid. It doesn't seem particularly useful either, and is a bit of a pain to set up.Normally these things are "worth it if you're a fan", but if you're a fan of Destiny 2 you're probably already frustrated, and wishing Activision/Bungie would try a little harder. This is just going to add to that frustration. It's a zero effort cash grab and not worth your money.

The price goes up and down, be careful
I got this when it was £15, for some reason it goes from £13 - £15 one day.. and the next day it goes back up to £60+ .. so keep an eye on it before you buy, and check each day for the price drop. But all in all its great for £15, if your a fan of destiny then its a fun and handy piece for you to quickly load your favorite loadout.plus it looks nice on your shelf... and considering the mini ghost keyring on amazon is about £13.. may as well get this one that does more.just keep this page open and refresh it each day to see how the price dramatically fluctuates from £60 to £15
