Item is compact and sturdy. I used it to convert a hand truck to a compact, ratcheting and quickly adjustable retaining strap. I added a clevis to the handtruck for the strap to anchor to. So much easier and quicker to use.

I was going to return the winch. But decided to keep it.It's a good little hand winch. Perfect for smaller boats. I use it on a home made trailer to pull my mini 8' bass boat and have absolutely no issues pulling the little boat up onto the trailer.Would definitely purchase again.

I needed this for my utility trailer. It is only a 4x7 tilt trailer that I use for mowers and other yard equipment. I purchased this exact crank off of Amazon for half of what I was going to pay at the local hardware store. It was very easy to mount and install onto my trailer, took roughly 15 minutes or so. I have a 20 model cub cadet 50 inch tractor style mower that I use predominantly and this crank will actually pull the mower on and up the trailer with ease. Obviously you would want to purchase a better and heavier duty crank for larger and heavier jobs/equipment but for most light duty work this is far more than enough.

I bolted the unit to my trailer as I was putting the crank handle on the bolt snapped in half . I hardly put any tension on it . Would NOT trust this coming out of the water as the sole support of my boat up a ramp!
