The price is a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth it. The quality is top-notch, and the fast charging feature for my iPhone 16 Pro is a game-changer. The magnetic hold keeps my phone securely in place while I’m driving, even on bumpy roads. However, there’s one downside: there’s no way to adjust the phone mount with the magnetic. The phone will gradually shift from its position while driving, and you’ll have to readjust it again.

It works but needs a redesign as it has some significant flaws. The good part is that it keeps my Pixel 8 charged on long trips while running Waze, audio streaming, and Bluetooth. A minor flaw is the audible fan; the fan is annoying unless I turn up my music to drown out the high hum of the fan. The major flaw is that the phone joint is not lockable with tightening nut thus, with every bump, the phone will change angle. I have had it for a couple of months, and it is only getting worse. I don't expect it to last another six mo before it is useless. For the price, I would expect better design and execution. Save your money and do not buy this...

I like it for the ease of mounting the phone and how it keeps the phone cool. When I plug the cord directly into the provided USB for power/data, the charger does not stay charging. It flips off and on. There must be a certain amount of data it’s trying to send. I have it powered by the cigarette charger but this forfeits the Apple sync. To interface with the car’s touch screen and Apple, we unplug the power to this unit and plug the phone directly into the car. This turns off the cooling/charging function but still get the MagSafe strong magnet. 2017 Ford Edge

Works as described. I had one issue after about a year of use where the head would move too easily and the phone would sag down. Realized the mount had small cracks around where the ball joint attaches. Submitted a warranty claim through iOttie's website and they promptly sent me a new one. Was able to take apart the old unit to see how it worked and realized just how much though went into designing this thing so it cooled properly. Great quality and hopefully the new unit doesn't have the same issue.

I probably have less than 20 total hours of use of this product and the fan has already died. It makes a horrible screeching sound when I attach my phone to it. Even when the fan did work, it didn't really keep anything cool. My phone and the magsafe mount were no hotter than the magsafe charger that I use at home. Unless you live somewhere that you'd actually need the fan to keep it "cool". I'm not sure that this actually does, save some money and get the model without the fan. The positives are that it charges my phone and the magsafe grip is really strong. I never had my phone fall off while driving.

I like iOttie products. I got three older units and upgraded to this one for the wireless charging and MagSafe. The MagSafe attachment has been perfect. The arm also articulates easily enough that my phone is in the perfect spot. What’s not perfect is the charging. It pulses on and off about 3 seconds at a time. I can hear the cooling fan wind up and down. It’s annoying, I’m sure I could get used to it, but it doesn’t charge well. On drives where I’m using GPS it’s charges enough to keep me about even with where I started but won’t charge up. I’ve tried multiple usb-c cables to no avail. So, I’m still using it but having to plug in. I can’t justify $80 to try another one.

I just received a replacement unit, 11 months after my initial order, at no charge. I thought it was a 30-day warranty but when I emailed iOttie, they told me it was two years. Whew! I had noticed the problems from the start and told them that, but they replaced it anyway. I did have to send a photo showing my iPhone giving an overheat message. I bought this partly because of other positive reviews for iOttie customer service. Well, I'm another vote. They will make sure you're satisfied with your puchase. INITIAL REVIEW: Make sure you check this mount for the fan working. Mine didn't. And iOttie doesn't say how to verify that it is working—it's supposed to be quiet, after all. Also, this mount seems not to accept any USBC cable or USBC charger other than the one it ships with. Three main functions it does perfectly well: the suction mount holds on a window flawlessly, the MagSafe holds an iPhone securely, and it certainly charges the phone. But when the "CryoFlow" fan doesn't work, the phone consistently overheats and can even shut down. That part is very frustrating.
