My last winter coat was from Land's End it was heavy and warmth was so so but this Marmot is so light that I thought there was no way it would be warm enough but I was wrong, I would put the warmth at 10 out of 10 my last coat I wore a hoodie underneath so I did the same with my new Marmot but it's not necessary actually it's too hot, right now We’re in the middle of a polar vortex and this Marmot is the perfect coat for this condition light weight and extremely warm

Excellent light weight down parka which keeps you quite warm. Well made and designed.

Received on time and in person. Immediately tried it on and went outside to do chores and rake the leaves it kept me extremely warm definitely a great jacket so glad I purchased this thank you Amazon for getting me a good deal

Fits my husband perfectly...he's a new long haul driver, and just encountered snow for the first time. He says its so warm that he doesnt need extra layers under it even in temps under 20*F.Chose this brand over what was available including Northface for the lightweight nature and price. I'm more than happy with this purchase. Definitely getting myself one if i have the opportunity to travel.We havent tried washing it yet...I'll update when that happens.

This is the flimsiest excuse for a down coat -- thin and probably suitable for the American South. I have another Marmot jacket I bought 6 years ago (almost identical) and it is one of the best warmest coats I have had. I ordered this one because the zipper broke on the other one. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe it -- this is what happens when American companies farm their manufacturing to China. Shame on Marmot. Stay away from this product if you care about staying warm.

Great jacket, did not realize that Jet Black refers to Black with Blue undertones. To me this jacket is obviously Blue when you see it in good lighting. It is a nice color, just not black like I prefer.

Got this as a gift for my boyfriend since he needed a good winter coat. I’ve had my Marmot for a few years now and it’s served me very well every fall/winter season. He loved it; fit true to size, as described and was very lightweight. Looked great on him and he really loves it.

Had to finally replace my old my old Helly Hansen down parka and was a bit apprehensive buying a new jacket online, without trying it on first. Some of the reviews were helpful but others were not. My Jet Black Large Marmot arrived today and it is fantastic. Great quality feel, very light but very warm. Zippers feel premium and stitching is top notch. Wore it outside today over a Tee-shirt at -10c and very very warm insulated feeling!I am 5'8 with 46" chest, 35" waist and there is room enough for extra layers if I wanted. Fit is perfect and elastic draw strings around the bottom/ Velcro around cuffs provide good wind protection. Zips right up to under chin and hood is ample enough to accommodate a toque! I certainly lucked out with this purchase! I suspect by the way it feels, with proper care, it will last a long time
