Electra Cruiser Wire Bicycle Basket (Black)

Perfect! Extra large compared to most baskets- but still light-weight! My boyfriend just loves it! Especially when I'm sending him to the store all the time for groceries- there's plenty of room! Just ordered 2 more- that one was a Birthday present for my him, these two are for my cat! I'm gonna attach one on top of the other with hinges, put a leather belt-like strap on one side, put a pillow in it and maybe cardboard or something up top for shade and take my Little Billy (not so "little" anymore!) out riding with me when I go (cats need to get out of the house once in awhile too)! I bought a wicker basket made for pets from PetFrenzy.com, and not only was it so small my cat was too cramped in it to fit comfortably, but it was $100.00 and very cheaply made (arrived with a broken buckle on the strap...it couldn't have been made of metal!)! Had to return it and lose $32.00! ($15.00 restocking & $17 shipping fee!) Don't ever buy from them, buy the Electra Cruiser Wire Basket from Amazon (Electra's shipping is ridiculous!). They're PERFECT! Large, VERY STRONG/DURABLE, and VERY reasonably priced! And, you get FREE SHIPPING!!!

This basket arrived on time which was exciting, however as soon as I opened the box, I was disappointed to find that the hardware was not included, nor were there instructions. Unless you want to purchase the hardware separately, then go ahead. I ended up going to a bike shop by the beach who assisted me with a basket purchase, and installed it for me within minutes. Coming from my experience, just buy a basket from a bike shop. It will save you time, energy, and money.

This basket #368787 was purchased for an Electra Cruiser 7D. Unless you can find the proper hardware, installation must be done by a bike dealer. The two small screws do not fit the Cruiser 7D fork eyelets. The four large screws do not fit or require great effort to screw through the nylon locknuts and steel plate buckle. Electra Support knows of no problems like this one, so they are no help.I had to have it put on at a bike shop and the whole experience was a just a pain. Now that the basket is on the bike, I like it, but not really worth the headache.

Bought this basket for my Electra Cruiser and it is perfect. Very secure mounting to the headset, all hardware included, and the perfect size. Highly recommended over a generic basket.

The basket came without any instructions for installation (which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5!) A friend of mine helped me figure out how to get it on my bike, and it was pretty easy.Overall, this basket is great. My bike is my primary mode of transport, and the basket is roomy enough for grocery shopping - I even used it to move a lot of stuff when I was moving apartments.

This is the perfect basket for my Electra Townie bike. It's not too heavy. Make sure you have the right handle attachment for this basket.

I received only the parts to my basket and to this day it is sitting in my room, not on my bike. In addition there are a lot of little parts that require special tools. I have no idea how to install the basket so I am going to have the bike and the basket to a shop to be installed.
