GREAT VALUE!, SELECT A SIZE GREAT FEATURE!
I like these fire starter bricks for their value foremost and the select a size feature. Very dense compact material that holds shape while also being easy to break apart and crumble, you decide the size and application.I use a 2"x2" chunk in combination with a 1/4 piece of an alternate fire starter square and the reason being is the squares lite up quicker and easier but do not last as long, however they provide enough flame to get the brick started and once the brick is lit it provides a large flame that is hot enough to light small logs, so no need for kenneling. So a 2"x2" chunk broke off of 1/2 a brick gives me about 6 starters x 2 bricks in a pack = 12/pack x 5 packs you do the math for $13 thats a great value.. when you combine this with a fire starter square cut in quarter chunks...If you want to bypass getting another product then you have to sit and keep the flame on the bricks for a while to get lit but again once lit they do the job well, and the value is the best I have experienced. Also the possibility to crumble up into crumbs and wrap sawdust around greasy paper towel etc... or what ever floats you're boat but a very versatile product.. I think is worth the $13 investment to try out for yourself..They work for me and are budget friendly

Best Fire Starters on the market.
I have used almost every fire starter on the market and Pine Mountain StarterLogg Select-A-Size Firestarting Blocks are unsurpassed. They light quick and easy and stay lit. These starters are long lasting and give a good hot flame. They will light any wood you have indoors or out. I use them indoors and there is never a smell. I suggest you break them in half because you don't really need a full bar. If these weren't available I won't bother to buy any. You won't be let down. Can you tell I love them?

Good Value Good quality only need half
I purchased three boxes of these and they were supposed to have 24 bricks in a box by accident they sent me two boxes and 1 mini package , but it was easy to have my missing box replaced they shipped it out right away .There was nothing wrong with the boxes I received they were soft and easy to break apart , but did not crumble .Honestly I break them in half and throw them in a plastic container with the lid off just to dry them out a little bit and they light fine . I am burning hardwood so that is often hard to light and keep going. With the deal I got on these I don’t have to worry about lighting my woodstove and having it go out for the rest of the winter !!!These are much better then other similar more expensive products I had used in the past .They stayed lit for me .

they really work
I like that I can break them up into smaller pieces and spread them around my kindling when I go to light the woodstove. They burn a fair amount of time, so if you are using fairly dry wood and not trying to start a log without a bed of coals they do exactly what they are supposed to do. I keep a couple of small pieces in a zip lock bag in my hunting pack in case I need to start a fire, I also keep some in all my get-home bags, in my vehicles.

I've used these for years!
We've used these exact Fire Starter bricks for years the instructions tell you that you need way more than you actually need though. We just break off a chunk and that's always been enough to get a fire started. We're able to make one box last quite a long time and we burn frequently, as we use our fireplaces for heat instead of turning on our heaters.
