it stopped working after two years

Seems well made and easy to put together.The tilt on the head is limited, it rotates around but mainly faces up.Two pin flat bladed plug, it doesn't say this in the specifications.

Cette lampe est lumineuse (équivaut à un tube halogène de 300W). Elle est facile à monter.Le mât pourrait être environ 10 cm plus haut (il ne fait que 160 cm). La lampe peut éblouir les personnes de grande taille. J'ai mis 4 étoiles à cause de ça.Très important pour moi: on peut la brancher sur une prise télécommandée car elle s'allume quand la prise commute.Elle a trois niveaux de luminosité (je n'utilise que le niveau le plus lumineux). Le niveau choisi est mémorisé donc quand on allume la lampe, elle éclaire au dernier niveau utilisé.

So bright! Which is great, as sometimes I need a lot more lot than the single-bulb, almost-century-old ceiling light fixture in this room can provide. I keep calling this the "Sun" lamp when it is on its highest setting. Nice stepdown between the 3 brightness levels. Lowest is good ambient light, middle good for most everyday lighting needs, highest for when you really need to see well. Very simple and quick to put together, took maybe 5 minutes. The midcentury-inspired brass finish is a lovely touch, and the slim profile means it fits into some fairly tight spaces. Might pick up a second one for another room!

(1) It's BRIGHT. At 2800 lums and its ceiling-reflective design, one lamp lights up an entire room which is especially helpful in the Pacific Northwest. I have one on one side of the bedroom and [for the first time] can clearly see all the variations of dark clothes in my closet on the other side. Also, can step down the brightness, and turn on/off without groping for a floor switch.(2) The design is, well, let's call it minimal. At this price point, it's a good option if one definitely doesn't want quaint looking lampshade lamps. It's really the utilitarian wallflower of lamps.(3) Both metal pins for the plug are the same size, so it can be plugged in upside down on a wall outlet or fit more easily into a crowded power bar. No small thing.Caveat: I've had the first one less than 24 hours so consider this an infatuation-phrase review. If they start flickering like those looked-cool-at-first-but-now-drive-me-nuts lamps from that Swedish place, I'll revise.
