This is a great product, it is intended for small/Med pieces of meat and veggies. The people that decided to cook whole chickens and whatnot, I honestly wouldn’t trust them to review anything. You can marinade in the same unit you grill so way less mess and the sticking from having to flip was eliminated! This was a great gift and I’m very pleased... your real life sensable user.

Easy. No lost food between grill slats!
We really like our grill tumbler. After reading other reviews, here is my advice. It's great for shrimp, vegetables. Cut your meat into small pieces so more surface area gets exposed for that true grilled result that you don't get cooking on foil. I don't think it's intended for a whole chicken breast, but rather, smaller pieces of food. It makes turning the food over so easy, unlike a grill pan and a spoon or spatula. And carrying it into the house from the grill is easy too using the accompanying marinating dish. The only negative thing I can think of is it can't hold a large amount of food. Crowding the food would prevent the food from turning. You can cook in batches if needed.

Waste of money
This was a total waste of money. The two small chicken breast just rolled on top of each other, never cooking through. Just put your food in a baggie to marinate, grill in a basket or on the grill. Sweet potatoes, toss with a teaspoon of oil, thyme, rosemary. Put on a pan with non-stick foil, don't need to turn and they are perfect.

But sliced up veggies work great in there
It should just be called a grilled veggie tumbler. I've never put meat in it, that's what the rest of my grill is for, so I don't know why you'd have to "tumble" meat. But sliced up veggies work great in there, just tossed in some olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Get some of those mini sweet peppers and put them in there whole with some onion, it's a great side dish. I have a veggie grill basket by Weber, but the veggies would always get stuck on there and it was hard to clean. This tumbler is much easier to clean, and because it has 8 sides, if you turn it every few minutes, the veggies never burn.

Useful, clever and well made.
We have a garden full of vegetables, aside from steaming them this is the easiest way to cook vegetables I’ve found. It’s better than vegetables straight on the grill because there are no burned vegetables stuck on the grill afterward. I really, really like this thing. It’s brilliant really. I just cut them up fairly small and toss them in. It would make a very nice gift, too. The only objection I have is the one I have to all cooking gizmos. Where the heck am I going to store it? I’ll find a place in the kitchen someplace because this gizmo does a really good job of cooking a big pile of roasted vegetables to perfection.

Does not stand up to use, don't waste your money.
Bought this from Brookstone, after one use the "non-stick" coating peeled and mixed into the food, could not be eaten. Called Brookstone and was told this item was sold under the old Brookstone that went bankrupt and they did not honor the guaranty.
