Above the Trenches (Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales #12): A World War I Flying Ace Tale

My son absolutely loves this series! They make learning history fun and entertaining. He will reread these books over and over and does not get tired of them. We love it when, in normal conversation, he will tell facts that he has learned or give quotes from the books. This is the best children's history series I have found. We just wish there were more!

I did not dislike anything in Nathan hales book! I mean who could. I loved it. I love how he makes it kidfriendly!:)

We purchase copies of Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales for both the Middle and the High School. The series is great for reluctant readers.

We love all of Nathan Hales’s books and I find that most of them are age appropriate. However, this book does contain a mention of an “exotic dancer” who is immodestly dressed. I forgot to take a picture before I took the liberty of coloring over her, but you can get the idea of what she’s wearing underneath. It might not be a problem for some, and not a deal breaker for us, but I think it’s important to mention!

My kids are 18 and still get excited when a new Nathan Hale book comes out.

I really did not think my grandsons would like this series but I was wrong. Both my 12 year old and 9 year old grandsons love these books and that is a rarity.
