Update: 22 June 2024, Smell was caused by zero water filter that was only a month old.... This electric kettle works fine, I cannot get the fish smell out even with vinegar. UPDATE: Have been using daily since I received it June 2023. A few days ago, June 2024, I noticed a fishy smell in my kitchen. I rarely have fish and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, Scrubbed kitchen and used vinegar in kettle. Yesterday morning, turned kettle on and again smelled fish. The smell is coming from the kettle. In the picture, you see a hole at the top of inside kettle, that hole appears to go into the handle. I can only assume that something that shouldn’t be growing is in that hole and causing the oder. It’s in the trash now and will buy a different brand. Worked great before the horrid fish smell. ********************************************************************************* I received the kettle yesterday. No strange smells noted. The inside is solid stainless steel with no seams, that is important to me. Cleans easily, auto shut off works. The outside is a white plastic type material. I am not a fan of plastics. It doesn’t touch the water. The inside of the spout is stainless steel. 1.7 liters water = 3.7479 pounds of water. (One US gallon of water weighs around 8.33 pounds or 3.78 kilograms). The empty kettle weighs 2.14 pounds for shipping. A kettle full of water weighs 5.4479 pounds. If the outside of the kettle was made of ceramic, it would be much heavier. It would look pretty, but be heavy. Hoping this one lasts longer than many many other brands I’ve had. Will update review if needed.

Ok I have purchased over 15 kettles on Amazon over this past year along with spending over 40+ hour’s researching all the kettles and I’ve finally landed on this one. I have a boscare kettle that I adore but it’s soo small and I am someone who uses a kettle to wash a sink full of dishes to fill a large soup pot, even to throw in to heat up my bathwater, so using a little 2 cup kettle got old real quick. Key points about this kettle is a removable METAL interior lid not freaking plastic like 99% others and that it heats water mad quick like you blink and it’s done. Full to the top takes about 6 minutes but 2cups is within 30 seconds. Last is the switch stays down after you remove it from base so when you out in back on the base it continues to heat. This is a big safety concern if you leave it unattended, big; but for me this sold me on the kettle. I hate having to re-activate the switch to heat remaining water after I lift it up. It’s only been 1 month so longevity is unsure but it feels like it’ll last.

We have had our kettle for a few months now and really love it. We use it every day. It is faster and more convenient than the stovetop kettle we used previously. I like the fact that this kettle has a separate, removable, wide lid which allows for easy filling and cleaning. It is suitably hot and fast, but the outside is cool to the touch so we don't get burned, and does not drip when poured. We have hard water, so the kettle does accumulate some sediment as expected; however this sediment is much easier to clean vs. or old stovetop kettle with just a quick vinegar soak and wiping. Great price point too. Overall just a great product and value; very satisfied and would buy again.

This basic electric kettle is the first I've owned and works great so far. Previously I was microwaving water, which took much longer and was much noisier. I use it once or twice a day for coffee and tea. The lid comes completely off making it easy to clean and fill, though you can also fill it from the spout without removing the lid. I wish the minimum water line was marked on both left and right sides, since the line is where a right handed person can see it easily, not a lefty. It's bigger than I expected and black, so not an attractive item on the countertop, but after reading a lot of reviews, I decided a no-bells-or-whistles kettle for a low price was where I'd start. It holds a lot of water, which means many cups of coffee or tea, or if I need to boil water on the stove (for pasta, etc.), I can boil the water fast in the kettle, then pour into a pot to get a head start. I don't notice any adverse taste, and have not had any electrical issues. The outside doesn't get hot at all. The bottom won't burn your counter or table. ***UPDATE*** It's been 14 months and I'm about to shop for a new kettle because this one is DEAD. I used sandpaper on the contact rings on the bottom of the kettle when it stopped working. That worked about 3 times and extended the life about 3 or 4 weeks. But it got annoying and now it's quit working altogether. It's going in the trash where it will take up space in a landfill. This is not high tech. It should last several years, not barely more than one.

Es linda, funciona perfecto, calienta al 💯 y a velocidad luz, pero es importante que es para un litro, si quieres calentar menos se puede pero hay un mínimo que es como 350 ML. Satisfecha con mi compra

¡Me encanta esto! Es muy elegante y silencioso. Eleva mi cocina y funciona muy bien. Tarda menos de 10 minutos en hervir si está lleno, es fácil de limpiar y la capacidad siempre es más que suficiente. Una de mis compras favoritas del año.

Calienta el agua súper rápido, es bonita. Considera su tamaño, es grande.

Es genial, el agua se calienta en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, mucho más rápido que en el micro o qué en la estufa. Vale la pena al 💯. Es un poco grande, no es un problema para mí, pero hay un modelo más pequeño que no he probado.
