Awesome tool
I should of bought this tool years ago, this tool along with the ferrules will make your install so much cleaner and nicer looking. Gone are the days of just shoving stranded wire into a speaker output. Crimp on a ferrule and EFFORTLESSLY plug in your subwoofer. This is a MUST HAVE tool for anyone doing any type of car audio / audio / electrical installation.....

Used it recently on my DIY Solar emergeny cart and some of component audio equipment.
The ferrule lugs are crimped very well on stranded wire. Used it mostly on 12-gauge stranded copper wire and held extremely well. I made a mistake with a ferrule on the wrong wire and had to try and rip the ferrule off. I was unable to do so using pliers so had to cut it off and add the correct lug, a very strong crimp.

A must for wiring a speaker system
I ordered these for my truck stereo/speaker install. This works perfect to crimp the ends of the wires for amp connections.

Crimper works well
Most of the time I do a double crimp. Depending on how you insert the barrel it can roll the end up a little bit. Doing a double crimp can alleviate this.
