So affordable and worked great
Needed to dig a few holes to repair fencing around my pool. I knew it would be difficult with the rock and concrete from the first fence. Renting an auger for the day was $90 and this was delivered to my door next day.Great value and dug 4 holes within 60 seconds!

For the price it can't be beat - quality a little lacking but it does the job
I got this to dig 18 holes for a chain link fence. Unboxing was pretty standard - packaged well and nothing broken or missing. Upon assembly I realized one of the handles did not have holes drilled for the bolts to attach the handle to the motor. No big deal - pulled out the drill and made my own holes. Other than that assembly was pretty standard. First use was a little rough. Getting it to start the first time takes a little longer than the instructions would suggest - but after a few pulls - it started right up and in the 5 times using it since - no more than 3 pulls to start. It has plenty of power to do the job. It was able to cut through some smaller roots by taking it easy on the downward pressure and letting the auger take a bite of the root bit by bit.Only negative - and this is really an issue with 2 stroke engines, is that the exhaust is super smokey and will spit out some oil residue on the side of the machine.Overall for the price - it can't be beat.

Pretty Good So Far
Bought this to bore holes for fence posts. Works well so far, with some minor issues:1) The Run/Chome sticker is backwards. No biggie.2) Even though the manual claims the gear box is pre-greased, I suspect poorly or not at all. Be sure to have a grease gun on hand, you're going to need it after a handful of holes in any case.3) The zerk fill nipple is slightly small and a standard locking coupler won't stay attached. You have to hold it in place.4) When assembling the handle bars, really REALLY crank down on the bolts if you don't want it vibrating apart during use. I had to go back and crank down hard enough that the tubing started to buckle and flatten to get the bolts to stay in place during use. Ended up losing one bolt before I realized and had to replace it. Several bolts were loose after the first assembly and initial use even though I double-checked they were tight (without buckling the tubing the first go around). Might need some Loctite.5) Hard to start. Wear thick gloves. That tiny handle will rip out of your grip and it hurts.6) Throttle handle doesn't stay in place no matter how hard you tighten it. Like another reviewer suggested, put grip tape around the tube of the auger handle before installing the throttle handle.Outside those issues, it's going strong now.

PIECE OF JUNK
Do not waste your money! My fiance does small engine repair on the side and can fix anything. Even he can't fix this! He says it's a piece of junk! I looked at the tracking to see when it was supposed to be delivered and it was running late and wouldn't be in til the following week. We needed it the next day so we drove 50 minutes all the way to Blue Ridge to buy one at the closest store that had an auger in stock. The next day this one was delivered. So we drove all the way back to Blue Ridge to return the other one. Just to find out that this one doesn't work! From the get go it wasn't working right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We're now out the money and have to drive 50 minutes back to Blue Ridge to buy one again. I am LIVID!

Diggy Diggy Hole
The thing digs.It hits the wet clay in my area, and it pauses..... before throwing the world asunder and burrowing deep into the ground with nothing left but the hole that was intended. In all seriousness: The device called for 3 pulls when choke was on. It started on the first pull. The blades did their job, and has caused me to regret not purchasing this when starting the project with a hand post hole digger. My arms thanked me. Let your arms thank you.If you are debating a manual post hole digger or one of these? Spend the bit of extra $ and save your body the hassle.

Great tool for the price
I needed to dig a dozen holes for a fence project, and did some research on gas or electric diggers. I settled on this unit andf am glad that I did. The price was comparable to a rental, including travel time and fuel cost and trturning it on time. This cut through the soil and clay smoothly and steadily. It is easy to handle and wasn't over-torguey and didn't rip out of my hands when I hit a tree root.I would buy this brand again if I need other tools they sell.

Great customer service
Unfortunately, the machine didn’t work. It was broken, but this company has great customer service very helpful. They offered to send us the part or a refund and they responded right away I like that in a company.
