Dear Customer, the smooth side is cooling fabric, and another side is cotton material, or you can feeling it by hand, they have the different feeling.

Q: where can I find cooling pillows without the hot cottone side? I need both sides to be cooling!

My guess is that My Pillow 2.0 would be your best bet. The Marcpower Cooling Pillowcase does indeed have the cotton side. Perhaps if you are a person who has sewing skills, you could buy two, cut them in half, and sew the two non-cotton sides together. That is the best I got. I will say I love my love my Japanese Arc-Cooling pillowcase. Hope this helps.
