Is this an upstream cable?

USB cables are asymmetric. In any event if I such as thing as an upstream USB cable existed, being the same on each end, it could be turned around. :-). Upstream/downstream is used to refer to devices and hubs, vs cables. USB cables have varying data and power capabilities.

What is the warranty on this?

No idea, what I will say this is one of the best value and capable cables I’ve purchased. In any event if it did fail the U.K. and EU consumer goods act give at least 2 years.

how thick is the diameter of the wire?

Is this usb-if certified?

No idea. And if it claims it is, is it really? What I can tell you it’s great value and feels well made (without stripping down the ends I can’t confirm). I’ve used it for charging my MacBook Pro, and for connecting a Logitech Rally camera with a 5m extension… it worked.
