If you're looking for a beach blanket, this is good. I think many people look at these for a light weight, fast drying towel. It is light-weight and dries quickly. It is very big, too big actually. I'm 6'1" and I didn't need all of this towel and when it comes to camping or backpacking and if you are trying to save on space and weight then half of this will do. It's not as absorbent as a normal towel, but it's not as bad as wiping yourself with a tablecloth. It's somewhere in between those two. We were camping and I got used to it. I used it every day. The weather was dry, I hung it up and it was always dry after a few hours. I would have been happy with half of this towel. Before using this somewhat expensive towel, to save space I used to take a hand towel, not a face or wash cloth, but the bigger ones, the ones that are a little bigger than a kitchen towel. These are as absorbent as a normal bathroom towel depending on the brand and quality and don't take up much room. If you take two, even in cold humid weather, it should dry in two days. If I could go back, I wouldn't have bought these towels. It seems like such a great idea, but you could have a much more absorbent kitchen towel instead of these things. They look nice and all, but if you're concerned with space, weight and quick drying, buy one or two cheap 100% cotton kitchen towels. Yes, you will be able to dry yourself perfectly with one of them. You just can't wrap yourself in one, if that's what you want. That's what I should have done.

I have a few Turkish towels and this is one of my favorites. Large, soft, absorbent and dries quickly! Big enough to wrap around my plus sized body to cover up after a swim. Also works as a light cover in the car when you’re chilly. Will be buying more of these!

These towels are great for the pool or beach because they fold up small but are highly absorbent. I also use them as swimsuit covers. Just tie around waist!

I bought 3 different colors, they were all nice. I went on vacation with 3 people and gave two as gifts. we used them for the beach but will definiely use them a home too
