When you say short, what pile size are you referring to? The blanket is a (flattish pile) that's equal on both sides. They are warm and do not shed, they dry very quickly. (Always) dry on a wool setting for less than 10 minute in the dryer in the colder months, otherwise you will burn, (shrink) the blanket. They can also be dried freely without the dryer, they don't take long to dry.
