Got this as a gift for an 11yo. It looks really cool in the dark, and the dimmability is great. We've purchased a couple of these faux-neon items before and this one is better constructed than most.

I loved the original Metroid games, and this light is an awesome representation of the game. It looks great, works great. It's a nice, bright light as well.If I were to complain about anything, I hung the light kind of high up on my wall because I needed it to be above something else on my wall, which puts it up about 7 ft high, the USB cable it uses is not very long, I had to place my power strip on top of it's own plug in the wall in order for the USB cable to reach it. I would assume most people are mounting this lower than I did, so probably not a problem for most people. I didn't try using a USB extension cable either, that may work too.

Gives off almost white light because of the mix of colors. Lights up the bathroom perfectly at night.

I got the star as a gift, and I wanted to pair it with another Mario World themed light!The blue shell is extremely bright when lit, and lights up the room - almost like a regular LED bulb. It is affixed to heavy duty plexi glass, and comes with a chain and hook to attach to the wall. The 'smoothing' of the light is great in the sense that you can't make out the individual LEDs.It came with a wired controller to turn the light on, as well as adjust the brightness.My only critique (which probably wouldn't apply for most) is that the light needs turned on every time once it receives power. This means, if you have it plugged into a wall socket, or computer monitor in my case, you'll need to manually turn these on each time the power is turned on.

It’s super bright but has a neat switch so you can lower or raise the brightness.. it’s really cool and my son loves it in his bedroom
