Great tool!
Brilliant sander I do timber sculptures and best sander I have used. Athough seems expensive compared to domestic equivilents, is far faster and well worth the extra if you do a lot!

Not the best
Use this item a lot but not really that impressed. I had a Bosch sander which was twice and good. It’s very heavy and has an awful “clunk” as it starts up and stops which I find annoying.

Don't waste your hard-earned money
I'd wanted to try Milwaukee tools for years, but always ended up going for cheaper brands like Bosch and B&D which have always served their intended purpose very well. However on the strength of this purchase, it will be the one and only time I buy Milwaukee. This sander puzzled me from the moment I started the thing up. Firstly, I have never heard such a noisy sander in all my life. If it had been effective, I wouldn't have minded so much, but on top of that, it's all noise and no action. It just vibrates and wobbles all over the place, but no matter what grade of paper I use, it doesn't seem to get anywhere, and on every occasion I've tried it, I've ended up resorting to my 20 year-old B&D belt sander. The sanding disks don't even wear down because the way it vibrates means that it just hops all over the work making little actual contact with the wood. I just don't get it. Maybe there's something wrong with it, I don't know, but it just vibrates - almost uncontrollably - to the point where it hurts my hands trying to control it in a way that achieves some kind of result where it actually removes some surface wood. I would sell it on Ebay if I didn't have a conscience. I really don't understand these other reviews saying it's good, because this one most certainly is not.
