As others have said there are many off-brand clones of this type of fan and they all look pretty identical.That said, this does work for it's intended purpose, which for me was helping with severe hayfever. With this running on low my hayfever basically disappears so I really can't complain.It is quite loud, about 50db at a few foot away but I'm used to sleeping with fans getting 55-60db so this isn't an issue for me.

This 'flat-panel' Hepa filter type air purifier produces a strong, clean draught of air which it disperses more effectively than most other purifiers (which often blast it all in one direction). The front panel unclips easily making the filter easy to access. The filter is a large Hepa panel which allows a decent volume of air to pass through, it has a substantial layer of carbon pellets to help adsorb VOCS. The unit also has a generic remote control (that can work on some other air purifiers, and vice-versa), a built in ioniser and a twelve hour countdown timer.The unit itself is relatively unobtrusive, being slightly smaller and less like industrial or medical equipment than some other air purifiers, this also makes it easier to place.This unit is not quiet. Even on it's lowest setting the noise level is approximately 50dB, about the same as other air purifiers of this type but the pitch is higher and I found that more noticeable. Although this may be subjective on my part, I think it would make it difficult to use in bedrooms or other quiet areas, even as 'white noise', unless placed a some distance from the occupants.It's worth noting that this is almost certainly the same machine as this: Futura 40W Pro HEPA Air Purifier Ioniser, Cleans Air Removes Smoke, Dust and Allergens, Remote Control Included only being sold here for a substantially lower price.

Fabulous product. I have placed it in our bedroom and the air quality is very noticeably better. Sleep quality has dramatically improved and entire room seems cleaner. The sound on the lowest setting is very soothing and relaxing in my opinion. I would also like to point out the price of new filters are a lot cheaper than other similar air purifiers. Highly recommended product at a very reasonable price which was dispatched and delivered with lightening speed!

Not very powerful.But still blows out cold air.It’s good, but not that good!

noisy yes, better to switch it off during sleep or move to another room.

I bought this product end of November 2018. It has now stopped working completely. We have used the unit approx. twice per week and changed the filter after 3 months. Very disappointed with spending £40 on this unit for only 7 months use. Unit became progressively noisy over the period that it was working. Maybe the supplier could contact me with a view to either rectifying or replacing the unit. [email protected].

I HAVE COPD AND RESEARCHED ABOUT BEST AIR PURIFIERS WHICH WAS A TRUE HEPA I WAS HOPING THIS ONE WOULD BE GOOD FOR BEDROOM WHILST ASLEEP BUT ON THE LOWEST LEVEL THE NOISE IS LIKE A TURBO FAN AND DEFINITELY COULD NOT EVEN GET TO SLEEP!!!! EVEN IN LIVING ROOM WITH TV ON ITS LOUD! VERY DISAPPOINTED AND ITS NOT CHEAP CONSIDERING ABOVE

I use this to keep an enclosed basement room smelling fresh - it works well for this purpose running pretty much 24/7. The last one I had lasted about 18 months (exactly the same machine but a different brand) which isn't bad I guess for something that's relatively cheap. The IR remote works well (I actually control it via a Logitech Harmony).
