I got this because I have a One+ battery from a weed eater that I no longer use. The price was right for the tool without the battery and charger. The saw cuts great and has a lot of power. Initially, when I saw that there were three settings, I thought it was not variable speed, but it is. I was happy about the variable speed but the saw itself is a bit bulky and heavy when the battery is in. I don't see that as a downside though because you are typically using a jigsaw on a flat surface. This will probably be my go-to jigsaw from now on. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the way the blades lock-in. I have a ton of blades for my other saw that will not work in this one. Other than its incompatibility with other blades, I see this as a great saw that may be a bit on the hefty side but is great on the power end.

Unboxed, attached saw blade (after consulting the manual). Put battery in, went out and trimmed picket bottoms on gate. Smooth sawing, easy to control. Another great Ryobi ONE+ product!

Great saw. Ryobi tools are very versatile especially with the interchangeable batteries. Always nice quality tools. I use all Ryobi products.

This is a good mid range jigsaw. It has lots of power and cuts accurately. The battery also works with many other other Ryobi power tools.

My old reliable corded Jigsaw has seen better days and I noticed the Ryobi unit on sale on Amazon. I've started to replace my tools, both corded and battery operated, and decided to standardize on Ryobi. The Jigsaw I purchased, like all other Ryobi tools I've acquired, didn't dissapoint. It has good power, it's very ergonomic and a pleasure to use. Highly recommend.
