Perfect for the DIY plumber!
This crimper worked SO well! I was nervous buying it but can’t recommend it more! It blew me away the amount of connections I made this weekend without ANY leaks. I used both the 3/4” pex crimper on copper crimp rings and the 3/4” pro press crimper dies! They worked well. Tip: try as Make as many connections as possible out in the open before putting the tubing in place. It will be less hassle getting the tool into place and trying to hold while pumping. For two of the progress fittings…I held the tool while I had another person pump the handle to make sure nothing would more. I was really impressed. So glad I didn’t buy a different brand. Now I’m set for the future in plumbing. If you’re on the fence, get this tool!

Great took for the DIY plumber
This tool works great for pro press fittings. First time using the pro press system modifying an existing boiler system. 14 different pressed points and none of the leaked on the first try. 1" and 3/4" including 90s and reducing tees. All worked great. The only criticism I have is it dug into the fitting on the edge where press comes together at the tip. That is a little sharp and not as clean as it could be. Doesn't impact how the press fittings works but I can see this scratching you or catching on clothing. Overall I love the tool and made my plumbing project easy. Will use again and I recommend this kit.

Works well
Heavy tool. Works well. Never had a leak. Never had to recrimp any fitting. Takes some getting use to using it.

You really don't need Popeye arms
If you are working with copper piping and can't (possibly fearing accidentally starting a fire) or are interested in trying a different way to join copper quickly and leak free, this is a system you should try. The assembly of a leak free connection is easy. Clean the pieces of pipe to be joined as usual. Now it gets interesting. You do not use flux or solder.Cut your pipe insert the selected fitting; insert the appropriate size dies into the jaws of the tool.Clamp the jaws around the fitting (the good and bad of this system, next). Apply pressure to one end of the fitting, SQUEEZE; release; open jaw; repeat this procedure on the remaining side of the fitting. Voila, you have created a fluxless, solderless, leak free connection.OK, now for some "considerations".To successfully accomplish the above-described connection, you will need:1. this tool with: 2. its various size dies to match the fitting/pipe size you are using.3. correctly sized proprietary fittings (available online, and most big box stores).4. a reasonable amount of "squeeze power" is required. YOU are the force applied to the tool to create a watertight connection. 5. No soldering torch, NO "regular", copper fittings are needed or will work with this system. 6. Because of the size of this tool, it may be awkward or impossible to use in tight spaces where the tool won't fit or is prevented from opening and closing due to size of or location of workspace.SPOILER(s) - YES,you need the tool, dies and appropriate proprietary fittings to use this systemRATIONAL for another approach - You can spare your muscles by selecting one of several manufacturer's BATTERY-OPERATED tools.BUT the battery powered version of tools (some with complete sets of dies; some NOT) are professional plumber or tradesperson's prices. Prices vary. Most of these kits start at $1,000 AND UP(NEW)!!!I MAY have included too much information. To conclude: despite several issues mentioned, I like it and I use it.At least until I inherit sufficient funds to splurge on the easy-peasy, deluxe, battery powered tool.

This tool over presses the 3/4" PEX rings.
I got the tool for it's potential ease of use in tight spots when crimping PEX rings. I found out the tool over compresses the pex ring on at least one size (the 3/4") so it is useless for the reasons I bought it. I only test the tool on 1/2, 3/4 & 1" pex rings. It works on the 1/2" & 1" sizes but over compresses the 3/4" . I checked the compression with a "Go, No-Go" gauge and found the failure.I bought a 2nd tool and had the exact same results.

Easy to use. Works first time. Nice case.
Even though good instructions are provided, the assembly and die changeover are obvious and intuitive. Very well made. Nice storage case. Very happy. Well done.

Would Recommend
This tool is a great choice for home plumbing repairs. I don't need to call someone to do simple jobs and don't need high priced cordless tools to do occasional repairs. It's easy to operate and comes with a nice storage case. If you cut, clean, deburr and completely press the fitting you should have no problems.
