Good value and good quality
Needed this as the CD writer was no longer working on my desktop computer. Just plug in and go! Easy to use, and sound quality good on CDs that I have burned on this. It is neat compact and the drawer is fine, not flimsy to use. Very happy and just bought another for my laptop.

cheap, cheerful and does most most of the tricks
What I like:- inexpensive for well known brand (Hitachi-LG)- Come with Cyberpunk Media suite which covers you for all the basic stuff (DVD playback, burning files, burning ISO images, etc)-works well and rips DVDs pretty quick with tools like MakeMKVWhat I dislike:Not a fan of the silver plastic outer shell and has a really ancient mini USB connector, but none of that hinders performanceAll in all i was plsantly surprised at how nippy it was, especially against the last optical drive which I bought, (which was over 10 years ago)

Good product. In this day and age I've not really had much reason to use this item but when I have it worked well.Its not as loud as some other drives I've had.Windows recognises and istalls drivers with no issues.Its very light.Its very small - almost the same size as the discs used!It burns most types of DVDs and CDs.It plays CDs and DVDs.

Does the job
Bought for laptop without drive. Easily connects and does the job.

Good cd drive
I used this to rip some of my CD collection to FLAC because none of my devices has a cdrom drive anymore. It does a very good job, I encountered no errors while Accurate-ripping 20 cds or so. No skipping, no problems at all, it just works out of the box - both Windows and Linux. Haven't tested dvd writing.The construction is a bit flimsy (all plastic) and feels like it would split in a hundred pieces if dropped; but you can't expect much more at this price.

Excellent product
Great addition to new laptop, which has no DVD drive. Just plugged into USB port and worked instantly. Nice and light and good value too.
