For freshness, keep tea in a dry environment, ideally away from sunlight and slightly cooler if at all possible. Also, make sure that the air is cleared out of the resealable bag with each use to prevent oxidation over time. Keeping it away from other scents or smells is also key since tea can absorb odors as well. Some people ask if the refrigerator would work for freshness and I always recommend not storing there since the moisture content is considerably higher along with the added odors it might pick up.
