A perfect game for learning by playing
I recently introduced my child to the LilliBoh Word Detectives Game, and it has quickly become a favorite in our household. This educational game is perfect for early readers, combining fun with foundational literacy skills in a way that feels more like play than learning. The game pieces are made from high-quality, smooth wood, which is both durable and safe for little hands. The edges are rounded, ensuring there are no sharp corners, which is important for younger children. What sets the LilliBoh Word Detectives Hame apart is its versatility, offering two distinct ways to play:1. Learn to Read: In this mode, children can match the wooden letter tiles to the words on the boards. Each board features a simple, common word accompanied by a colorful illustration, helping kids associate the word with its meaning. This is a fantastic way to introduce reading, as it helps kids recognize words by sight and understand their context.2. Learn to Spell: For a more challenging experience, children can use the letter tiles to spell out words on their own, either by copying the words on the Search and Find card or creating new ones. This mode encourages kids to think about letter sounds and how they form words, making it a great tool for practicing spelling and phonics. This game is designed to help kids develop their reading and spelling skills in a hands-on, engaging way. The tactile nature of the wooden pieces encourages kids to interact with the letters, helping them to recognize and remember their shapes and sounds. The game supports early literacy development by reinforcing letter recognition, phonics, and word formation.Highly recommend!

A great way of sparkling interest in young learners
As a Montessori practitioner, I was looking into ways of creating an element of fun when kids are learning to read. When I came across the game, I was excited myself, but wasn't sure if kids would love it. And they did! It's such a great way of helping them not only with reading, but also open up the horizons of letters, sounds and show that some letters in multiple words can create a completely different word! There are two levels in the game: a classic CVC (consonant - vowel - consonant) type = three letter words, and a harder one (5 letter words).Once children are able to 'sound out' short three letter words and write them using a movable alphabet, they can start playing the game from level one (three letter words). They find it exciting to discover the sounds of each words, identify each word's first sound, find a corresponding symbol and place it onto the wooden stand, and then they read the result and discover that initial letters/sounds of three non-related words can create a completely new different word themselves. So exciting.Love it.The only reminder is that kids memorize the cards after a few times playing the game and I'd recommend either creating more cards yourself or put the game away for about two weeks, they will sort of forget about it and then bring it back for them to rediscover the game.

Perfect!
I am very impressed with this very cleverly thought out game. My 4 year old granddaughter has just started school where she is learning about phonics. Playing this is great support for her learning. She was able to play and learn from the game, but more importantly she really enjoyed it and has been eager to play it again. I highly recommend this for beginning and early readers.
