ieGeek 15.9" Portable DVD Player, 14.1" Large Screen, HDMI Input, Black

I just opened my package and set it up and I’m incredibly happy with the quality! I have 3 portable dvd players from this company of varying sizes from 12”-17” image quality and sound works really well. I think this is a great size for multiple people to watch or to have set on a table. I miss having dvd players or older style televisions playing and the portable dvd players have helped bring back the nostalgia I wanted. I also like that you can flip the screen and it comes with a nice remote. I recommend it to anyone who misses watching dvds. I also imagine they would be great to keep kids off of tablets and phones (or adults lol) my family of only adults has been enjoying it.

This is an AWESOME purchase!!! Bought this portable DVD player to take camping and road tripping for a rainy day activity. You can play DVDs normally OR without sound and picture on OR switch to sound on and picture off. You can use ear buds or headsets well. Picture quality is very good and you can change the angle of the screen (AND YOU CAN SWIVEL IT!) for even better viewing. You can watch a couple of movies on it, just on the battery! Or you can use one of the included power sources to plug in and watch (or charge the battery up). Comes with both 12V (“cigarette lighter”) AND a standard AC power cords/plugs. You can also plug USB INTO IT!!! This DVD PLAYER works great!! In case you want to watch on your large screens, coaxial cables are also included! This unit also comes with a remote control (2 AAA batteries needed) but you can run everything without the remote, great option that I appreciate! I had a couple of questions and I found that ieGeek’s customer service was incredibly responsive and kind. This is sadly rare nowadays and they were top-notch!! There is also a warranty available. This purchase is versatile AND WORTH IT!

This is a great in “between size” dvd player option. The screen is large! But it’s still easier to haul than the biggest size. It fits in a standard backpack just fine. The quality of the video is good and I appreciate all the inputs it has. Battery seems to last forever! Definitely lives up to that claim. We use this daily for schooling and it is durable. I recommend if you are looking for a larger screen!

Overall, a decent quality device. The screen is big and bright, the controls are responsive, and the player is easy to use. In my case, I’m using it to play old workout videos that I still own on DVDs. Two minor downsides are: the battery life is short. On a full charge, I was able to play DVDs for only about 100 mins before it dies and needed recharging. Also, the volume is weak. With air conditioners on and a tv playing in the next room, I needed to play in max volume to hear the audio —- at this max volume, I still found the audio to be too soft and weak. So, these speakers could use an upgrade. Otherwise, a solid DVD player for the price.

This is the second DVD player I have bought from this company and I was pleased with my purchase once again. Here are my thoughts: The company itself is fantastic to buy from! They mean it when they say they have 24/7 customer support and that they are happy to help with any issues if you reach out. This DVD player is certainly an upgrade from their previous/smaller model. It has many more media input/output options. It processes DVDs a little faster and handles scratched DVDs better (the old player basically freezes up and can’t get past a scratched spot on a disc). I love that I can use this with my projector and projector screen to have a portable theater anywhere I go. It is built tough. The buttons are clearly marked with their functions. The screen can be rotated fully and folded flat, providing a wide range of viewing angles if watching on the player itself. The picture is clear. The audio is LOUD (you can hear it just fine on the lowest setting). It comes with a media cable but NOT an HDMI cable. You have to purchase that separately. It does not come with a carrying case or a car seat mount, but those are available for purchase separately and they are very helpful. It also comes with a regular charger, a car charger, and a remote. The following are the only drawbacks (in my opinion) and they are very minor: - The screen feels HUGE compared to their 11” model. This is a plus if you’re going to take advantage of the fact you can use this as a monitor for gaming consoles. It would be an excellent size screen for gaming on the go. However, I bought this for my toddler to take on trips and it is too large for him to hold in his lap comfortably. The 11” model is much better for that. Again, I love that the screen folds flat to cover the buttons because it *mostly* discourage my toddler from pressing them lol. - We own a mix of DVDs and BluRay discs and I wish this device could play both. I understand that that would raise the price point much higher, though. This player already does a lot for the cost.

The biggest flaw in the whole system is there is no battery level. Just a green light if there is power. Until the point there is no power to remain on. So i fully charged the player first and i been watching it until it went dead this morning. I was watching cartoons not feature length movie, i was pausing and leaving paused, battery should be long enough to garentee a full movie plus. I got 4 episodes of 22 min tv. But also a lot of leaving paused. No auto off... Until it runs out of power. It has a multiregion dvd drive. It played my region 2 japanese sentai and kamen rider stuff. I think it actually become my new favorite way to watch my subtitled stuff. It has a remote with very crappy range. But it is better than leaning forward out of chill position to the coffee table that i have set the player on. This model is large. 15 inch. But unlike a laptop, it is fat too. Portable as you can set this screen anywhere. But it is not like the compact players ive seen. Which im fine with. I wouldnt be able to see the subtitles on the little ones ive seen. I like this player better than the 60 dollar multiregion dvd player wired to the tv i bought a few years ago. I bought a much better one, but near 200. This is a cool player if your just looking to play a foreign movie. You can wire in to RCA inputs or hdmi, if your pressed to watch that foreign movie on a tv.

I ordered a dvd player for my son’s 8th birthday. He was really excited however it stalled on the loading screen. I did some mild troubleshooting then contacted igeek support. They replied crazy fast, and were really helpful. Ultimately I couldn’t get the dvd player fixed so they sent me a new one that arrived two days later. I did not have to return the old one which is what I was most disgruntled about, so that was nice. Igeek customer support replies extremely fast and you can tell that they’re quite focused on support. The new dvd player is about what you’d expect. It’s light, yet feels like something from the early 2000’s, and my son loves it because now he can watch Lord of the rings in bed. We’re excited to take it camping.

I am not sure what I was expecting when I purchased this for my daughter as a birthday gift. We ended up buying two of these, one for each daughter. They love them. The controls are easy to use and they can play DVDs or music CDs on the device. The plastic cover seems to be enough to protect the machine especially as they are portable and could be expected to have some wear and tear such as when traveling. We did have one issue with the first machine though. Shortly after it arrived, we began experiencing a glitch on the screen. This soon morphed into 3-4 problems. However, the second machine never had a single issue. As it developed over time, we realized that we had passed the 30 day return window, but I still reached out to the company to see about a resolution. The company was extremely prompt in responding to me. I sent them pictures of the issue and they offered to replace the machine at no charge. It was sent directly to our home with no additional hassles and they followed up each step of the way to ensure that we were satisfied. While I have never before heard of IEGeek machines, I have no problems and highly recommend one of these little devices for you or your children. The sound is satisfactory with the use of headphones and the picture quality is good. However, I would definitely recommend the 16.9" screen which is what we got. I think they only come in a deep purple color at this time. Great value for the money and a great company to work with. I will definitely buy from them again!

Handy bit of tech. We took this away and it worked with our firstick. As a lot of hotels have basic tv and dont work with plug is stuff like fire sticks

It worked beautifully for three weeks and then the it stopped reading any disc. A real disappointment.
