Perfect!!!
These were exactly what I was hoping for! Anyone saying they’re too small doesn’t know what mini is. They open to 1/2”, so yes that are 1/4” as stated. The head is not 1/4”.Once again, Tim has come through! The detail is very tiny - but so are the projects they’re being used for, so for me it’s perfect. I have yet to be let down by a TH product, and if you want a tiny brad, that looks like old metal, this is it. The day Tim retires I will cry. Lol I feel like he actually uses his products, and puts thought into them.

When they say tiny...
While these are cute, they are super tiny! You do get quite a few and I will use them in my scrapbooking. So if the size is good with you, then I would say get these!

A delicate, beautiful look
Yes, they're tiny. But they're certainly not "microscopic" or anything close to that. They require a little more effort, but their effect is worth it to me: they're gorgeous and really dress up a card. I like an understated, delicate look, so these fit the bill when I taught myself how to make Christmas cards two days ago (yeah, Christmas Day is kind of quiet here).I suppose that some more experienced card makers know tricks that make anchoring mini-brads easy, but I didn't know what I was doing and had a devil of a time with the first brad I inserted. So I looked around for something that might help and found a rigid plastic container in which chicken breasts had been packaged at the grocery store. Worked like a charm. It was enough to anchor the first brad securely, and the others were easy after that. (I imagine any permeable rigid plastic would be helpful.) I'll attach a photo of one of the cards. It is large, 7 and 1/2 inches by 5 and 3/8, but the brads still show up nicely (to my eye, anyway). My next endeavor will be to learn how to crop photos. If you want a beautiful effect with brads of this size, you should not be deterred. I'm a newbie, and I really didn't have much trouble, and I'm delighted with the results. And remember in looking at reviews that some things that are difficult for some people are easy for others. If you like the look, I suggest you try these.

Extremely tiny
I knew these would be miniature but had no idea just how tiny they would be. I'm not sure how I will use them but they're really cute. I can barely manage them with being so tiny.

Adorable and tiny!
These are tiny. VERY tiny. The title says 1/4 inch but I am sure that they were smaller than that. However, they do not skimp on the detail! Each brad is beautifully finished and looks like an adorable tiny screw when in place. I used these to make a robot cosplay, as hinges on foam plates I painted to look like metal. They held up extremely well for the length of the con, which was about 3 days of wear. They also took paint exactly the same as the foam and looked amazing. very cute little detail! I will buy again for future projects.

Very teeny teeny tiny
These are great for teeny tiny articulations but they are so teeny tiny wee that I’ll pass the next time. Amazon so isn’t letting me add photos but I have an Edgar Allan Poe I made. Trust me, these are wee, microscopic.

Pleasantly surprised
I was a bit concerned these would be too large for the small details in a project. After all, the metal has a pattern, and personally I wouldn't have expected a company to bother making small things with fine details. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was even smaller than I'd been hoping for. The heads are a hair over 4mm in diameter and well-rounded so they look nice. The legs are roughly 1mm at their thickest, and taper to a dull point. In total, it is about 7mm in length. It was also strong enough to push through balsa wood. This makes for very fine details in a model. Will definitely buy again.

good quality
Sweet, but very tiny, more than I was expecting, so only use them for corners of some cards.

Very tiny
Really nice! 1/4 inch is the length of the brad, not the width.
