Good simple air cooler
This ID-Cooling DK-07i cooler is very good and I love almost everything about it. ID-Cooling is a very well known company in the computer world and they have been on the market for a long time, I have a good experience with their products and have tested a lot of them over the years, They are also making some of the most interesting AIO cooling solutions as well. The case with the DK-07i is no different, and ID-Cooling has done so many things right with this one, so many positives that are worth discussing and very few negatives that I can mention, but before that, a few quick words about the packing and presentation. The DK-07i comes in an excellent retail package, with a lot of detailed information about the specs and features of the product, plus a lot of images of the cooler so even before you open it, you know what you know what you will be getting. Inside the package there is the cooler, isolated and secured by good packing foam, back plate bracket for the LGA 1700 and that is it.Positives:- Almost everything assembled and ready to be used - It is so great to see that ID-Cooling decided to pack the cooler with the fan already mounted, that takes a lot of the pressure and time away from the customer and I highly appreciate that, the only thing you need to worry about is attaching the back plate and brackets.- Very good thermal performance - This single RGB fan downdraft cooler is rated at 125W and this is plenty to cool down pretty much any modern low to mid range LGA 1700 CPUs. I do recommend it over the stock coolers on all i3 Intel CPUs.- Great look - RGB 120mm fan and all black body of the heatsink, which is great if you are making an all white build with dark or black components. The black blends nicely with dark stealth case internals, motherboards and GPUs.- The included removable fan is fairly quiet and has pretty bright RGB colors - The fan is 4 pin PWM, from 500 to 1800rpms and 61.5 CFMs, the noise levels vary between 14.2 and 25.6DB, for the RGB, unfortunately this version can't control the lights and they are automatically rotating between the different modes.- Extremely reasonably priced at $19 - At that price there is not much competition, similar products from other brands are 20 and more dollars and this one is offering plenty of performance at budget levels.- Easy to install - as simple as the stick Intel sockets and motherboards.- Good for small form factor builds, ITX and MATX motherboards, especially if you are trying to stay on a budget.Negatives:- Only RGB and not ARGB on the included fan, I don't think that it would have cost them too much more to include an ARGB fan here too.- A little noisy when trying to dissipate a lot of heat, at maximum speed the fans are producing a little over 30 DB.- No heat pipes or any copper bases - The heatsink is just aluminum, nothing fancy, just as simple as the stock Intel and AMD ones.Overall, an excellent offering by ID-Cooling, the DK-07i delivers on the promise of performing well with modern day CPUs, while looking good and blending nicely with the rest of the case components.

budget friendly RGB cooler from a known brand
Pros:easy to install since fan is pre-installed; RGB; budget friendly only $18; may give 5-12 degrees improvement when compare to the stock cooler.Cons:thermal paste is not pre-applied; no copper base or heat pipe; not ARGB... hmm, I think usually cooler with all these features will not priced at this price, so maybe I am asking too much for a budget cooler :-)Summary:This is a low-profile CPU cooler that comes with RGB lights, it is a budget-friendly RGB cooler from a decent brand. I have seen a few tech YouTubers tested their other coolers and the performance were acceptable. This cooler looks durable, and the metal finishing is also of good quality.Based on my experience that if you're NOT planning to overclock and will be running multithreaded tasks continuously, this cooler should be even sufficient for i5 CPUs. I mean this is more like an improved LGA 1700 version of the DK-03i cooler that was previously released for LGA1200/115X, which had a TDP of only 100W. However, keep in mind that even the 12900 K has a TDP of 125W, which can increase to over 241W during high loads (Intel has set both PL1 and PL2 to 241W). Therefore, this cooler may not be the best choice if you're planning to run production work with multiple threads. Since there is no copper heat pipe or copper base, based on my experience, this cooler may only offer a slight (maybe a few degrees) improvement over the stock cooler. It's important to note that this cooler is not an ARGB, so you cannot adjust the RGB lighting. The fan comes pre-mounted to the aluminum heat sink, and although the thermal compound is not pre-applied, a small bag of thermal compound is included, which is enough for one application.

Excellent Product
This was super easy to install. I placed in an ITX build I am doing, and it works great. In comparison to other coolers, I could probably get a little better but the small form factor of the ITX build makes that challenging. It does come with some thermal paste, but I opted to use another brand. I also like the fact that it came preinstalled. Sometimes you have to put the fan in but this one wasn't like that. It made things a lot more convenient.

Cools well and looks great
This mounts easily and keeps temps at a normal level. The noise is minimal and the RGB coloring goes with the themes most run within their builds making it look great. It does not take up much room but still keeps the CPU cool effectively.

Solid Low-Profile CPU Cooler for Intel Gen 12
Works great on a low-profile setup using Intel Gen 12 i5 CPU for a non-gaming PC, added thermal paste & it's staying pretty cool under load. I can't really comment on the pretty LEDs because it's inside of a low-profile PC case, but it works well for my needs.
