New HIDEAWAY IRONING BOARDS All Knotty Alder with Raised Panel Door

I damaged the door and called for a replacement. I was treated most warmly and with great consideration. A replacement door was shipped almost immediately at cost! Tremendous customer service and wonderful product.

I own several rental properties and put Hide-Away Ironing boards in all of them, I recently purchased a maple unit and loved the design and craftsmanship, very easy to install, ironing board is very sturdy and they last for years. I wanted to try the Knotty Alder design and very glad I ignored previous review because it is Beautiful, very well made and compared to other Ironing Board companies the price can't be beat. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Hide-Away ironing board you will love it. Thank you Hide-Away

I like this much better than dragging out my whole ironing board but the iron I had would not fit in the cabinet. It was too big. (Too tall) Most irons are too big for the cabinet which is disappointing. I had to buy a smaller iron that was not as nice as my other iron.

I spent a fair amount of time researching this product type and found the Hideaway product the better value and the only one with a "Knotty Alder" option. Building a house and all the woodwork is knotty alder, finding this cabinet in KA so it will match was great. When this product arrived I wasn't disappointed, it was beautiful (if one can describe an ironing board cabinet as such). However, it did have a bit of undetected damage. I took pictures and sent the company an email on Friday. First thing Monday morning I received a call from them. They sent me a replacement, no questions asked and without delay. Within three days a new one was at my door and in perfect condition. Once it's stained it will look like it was built/made just for my house. Some very good looking wood was used. Don't hesitate to go with this product.

Solid wood. Not partical board or MDF.

The hiring board is flimsy and I feel like over time it will not last

The item could have been good but the workmanship killed it. I bought this on Amazon from Hideaway Ironing. The problems. The alder face frame was not even centered over the plywood cabinet. I could see the edge of the plywood on one side. So the reveals are all off. The plywood return behind the face frame to the wall was attached so that one side hung down further than the other. The top pieces were cut too short so there is a gab. The ironing board cut out itself was sharp with no eased edges. Very amateur in the workmanship. It could have been avoided, all of it, if the person building it knew what to look for or actually cared. I would not recommend this item
