Typical Solid Performance
This derailleur was a replacement for a braze-on unit connected to a clamp. Once adjusted properly, which took some doing when working with an oval shaped chainring, it works just fine. Routing the cable through the top cap was interesting and trying to remember which direction to place it in as it is marked as what is forward/backward/right/left, etc. I have been strictly Shimano on my road bikes for years and rarely have any performance issues. They make a solid product.

Shifts great! Easy install.
Was running a sram force FD and the chain was being thrown over the big chainring, between the big and small chainrings, and off the small chainring. I had two bike mechanics adjust it and still had the same issue. Told not to cross chain. Even that didn’t work. I installed the Shimano FD following what little instructions there were and guess what, no issues. Shifts up and down, doesn’t care what rear cog I’m in. Works perfectly! Should have changed a long time ago.

Spring tension too much for women with small hands
Classic beautiful Shimano product. After installing with a matching Shimano Ultegra shifter my wife complained it didn't shift onto the big ring. Got it back and I couldn't see what the problem was.... till she tried again. The problem was that with small hands there wasn't enough leverage to shift it.If you're a guy with big hands go for it. Small lady with small hand.... probably time for the Di2 version.

Exactly as ordered, used and works great with all packaging and manual
The derailleur arrived right on time, a used product, but not actually used by anyone, opened. All of the parts and the instruction sheet were included. An excellent purchase experience.

Shiny and new - worth the update.
Perfect little upgrade - smaller and more compact then my previous ultegra from 2014 - highly recommend this if your current is worn to shine up your ride.
