Great piece of kit which is great value. There are no instructions so ensure you look at the old mechanism before removing it. That said, it’s relatively easy to fit and I can recline again!

Didn't know you could buy these, thought I was going to have to buy a new sofa when the recliner broke, but seen this and took a chance. Fits perfectly and easy to install, the handle is better quality than the plastic one the sofa came with. Saved me a lot of money.

After many years all the reclining elements of our Lay-Z-Boy suite gave up the ghost. So i purchased 1 of these and watched the manufacturers video on how to change them(YouTube). These have a slightly different and in my view better attachment at the handle end, easily figured out. I only bought 1 to ensure it was the correct length etc. Need not have worried it was perfect and fitted in about 20 mins. Ordered 3 more delivered the next day and all 3 fitted within an 45 mins. We now have a fully functioning suite again for 36 pounds as opposed to hundreds to get a firm in to do the job. Highly recommended for ease of fitting, time will tell how long they last but they feel just as good as the Lay-Z-boy originals.

Item was as i expected but sadly lacking any instructions. I have fitting several of these over the years but because it's not something I do often, i have to revert to the instructions. Yes I could do what I had to do today, go and search online but I shouldn't have to which is why I dropped a star. The illustrations in the listing show you the parts only. As for the items function, it seems to work well.

After the original recliner actuator broke (plastic) I sourced these from amazon. Firstly, the lever is metal, not plastic so already, I'm a fan. The cable is of good quality too. The whole procedure to replace the assembly is easy. Videos on YouTube are worth a watch but simply turn the chair/settee over and flick the lever to operate the recliner. This allows you to remove the cable that's hooked into the bracket. A pair of pliers is required to remove a clip and a Phillips screwdriver for the handle (2 screws). Use the old cable to pull the new one through by tying them together with some electricians tape/tank tape. Push the recliner back in to the upright position, turn the chair back over and pull the cable to recline it again. This gives the cable some slack for you to work with it and hook the handle assembly to it. Push the handle into its recess, fix the two screws and jobs a goodun!
