Caran d'AchePrismalo Aquarelle Coloured Water-soluble Pencil (Pack of 30)

Pencils ideal for craft use and serious colouring.

I prefer these regular sized hexagonal wood cased pencils to the round Polychromos or Derwent Artist pencils or the larger Albrecht Durer and they have a thinner core than Derwent Studios, which is good for precision. The range of colours is very good for nature, botanicals and portraiture. The softer feel of watercolour pencils suits me well and I find them much easier for blending even though I seldom use water - though I do use a little moisture here and there for glass and liquid effects. They hold a good fine point and seldom break.

These are hard tip pencils which is great for detail.The wood is also good wood meaning when you sharpen the pencils, it maintains the shape[cheap pencils are made with cheap wood so when you sharpen them the wood breaks and the tips fall off]the colour also builds up very well and is very rich.worth the money.

These are excellent quality. Beautiful colours and lovely to work with. Would recommend again and again. They last a very long time and I've never had a complaint. Bought these for my daughter who is a budding artist. Hopefully they will last her as long as my set. Over twenty years, tin and crayons still going strong. Very happy. Thank you Caran D'Ache.

Available in 80 colours, Caran D'Ache's Prismalo is a watercolour pencil range with strong, break resistant 3mm cores. Like other artist ranges from Caran D'Ache, they are extremely lightfast with strong pigments. When water is added they have a subtle wash of colour. The pencils shafts are self-coloured and are hexagonal for an easy grip. I find them to be very similiar in feel to Faber-Castell's Albrecht Durer coloured pencils, less chunky and densely pigmented, but subtle and solid.

I have a set of these from some years ago - which are now much depleted due to the ravages of time, various youngsters "borrowing" them here and there and general usage. Having a recent need for colouring pencils which are easy to blend and which you can use with water (should you wish to do so) I did purchased another brand from a high street shop. Although they are okay - they were not as good as the Aquarelle. So I bought these - and they are - unsurprisingly - as good as ever. Even better you can buy individual colours (look online) to replace or to add extra colours as needed. Expensive - but in my opinion you are getting a better product.

Great product, very high quality pencils. I'm so glad I bought them! My drawing and colouring is now on different level believe me! You will never regret buying this set of pencils! I bought set of 30, I think it's a good affordable price. Can't wait to start using them in my colouring books!

Si comparo con otros lapices similares son duros al dibujar pero se ven robustos y de durabilidad increíbles.

Excellente qualité et Caran d'Ache reste fidèle à sa réputation. Je possède la gamme Pablo, Supracolor soft, les Luminances mais, Prismalo reste mon crayon préféré. Les couleurs sont lumineuses et j'utilise plus le blender Caran d'Ache que les pinceaux pour les aquareller. En revanche le résultat et une fois la couleur aquarellée est parfait. La mine est fine et le pigment s'applique facilement et sans trop exercer une pression sur le crayon. De plus il ne s'use pas très vite. J'adore cette gamme Prismalo.
