How long will they stay on a smooth tile for?

I purchased these hooks in the summer and have used them on smooth tiles in the kitchen for all my colanders and sieves....a few months on and they haven't moved at all! They're working hard too, some of the colanders are large and heavy and are moved very regularly. I've been really impressed with these hooks...they are so much better than I had expected.

Will this stick to the painted wall?

no, we do not recommend sticking to the painted wall, the suction cups works on smooth, non-porous surfaces, such as metal, glass, ceramic tile, granite, NOT suitable for wood, painted, oil, leakage and gap walls.

Can anyone tell me whether worth buying these hooks?

these hooks only work if you clean the wall where you are going to fix them very very thoroughly. If they are wall tiles, you have to spray them and scrub them and then I also used eyeglass lens cleaner in the place where I wanted them to go. Otherwise they just don't stick.
