My son would not grip his pencil correctly. It was always too high and in the palm of his hand. If we got him to hold it at all, it was straight up. This helped him hold it correctly and lean the utensil back to where it is appropriate. The teacher was even impressed as she had never seen anything like this one. Highly recommend!!

No not the bear. My son has Pandas which causes him to have writing difficulties.
