Kit was delivered on time and tooling worked.
Kit was bought to repair a flag. Tooling worked reasonably well. Inner bore of base tool could have been slightly larger to match installation tool diameter for smooth mating of 2 components.

Not functional
The tools aren’t the right size for the eyelets so they don’t work - complete waste of money and time. No instructions either so even if they did work, beginners would find it difficult to know how to use.

As advertised
Works fine but the punch does not go through the material. This isn't particular to this set though as I have other sizes from other suppliers and the same issue applies. I just used the punch to demarcate the circle then cut the hole with a stanley knife

Gromet set review
I have different sizes in different metals. I bought this size set because I'd used a smaller gauge set on some leather gloves that forced me to use a tiny carabiner and I needed a full sized one so redid in this larger gauge. Great to put extra tie hole in tarps too.☆☆☆☆☆

Not fit for purpose.
No instructions, cutting tool isn't sharp enough to cut even thin fabric and tools supplied don't fit correctly. Wasted several eyelets trying but they're just not up to the job. Wasted my money.

DOES THE JOB, BUT NOT VERY WELL
Once you have punched a hole, you have to place the die on to a firm surface and then the male part of the eye. Then the fabric then the male part of the eye, then the punch to close the two parts together. Except the male eye does not fit the die, ie; the hole is the same size as the eye so the raised part balances on it, so when you put the fabric and female part, then whack it with a hammer, it butchers the eye because it does not hold still on the die. The eye holds but only just, so from an engineers eye its not made correctly.

Not easy to use
Although the grommets look fine, the tools to fit them are not perfect. The cutting tool is not sharp enough to cut fabric and the washer which holds the grommet while fixing the two pieces together is not quite the right size. Instructions on fixing the grommets would be a useful addition
