Rust-OleumAE0080001E8 400ml Textured Spray Paint - Autumn Brown

I tend to use a fair few textured spray paints in various arts and crafts projects, as I find they generally cover well, are easy to apply and give a nice even finish.This autumn brown (sixth from left, in third photo) gives a lightly textured finish and goes on smoothly, with good coverage.It also works well on rusty metal (just make sure you remove any loose rust rust with a wire brush and dust off, before applying. Again, with a primer/undercoat first). Works on plaster too.I’ve also added a couple of photos of the (darker and more roughly textured) “mineral brown” spray paint, to give some comparison between the two (see photos one and two). Sadly I began a project by buying two of these cans from a high street retailer, both of which worked largely fine and I was happy with the effect (though the contents of the cans didn't go far). Being rather expensive I ordered 3 more cans on Amazon and upon using them all 3 broke. They either didn't work outright, got blocked part way through use or had the nozzle snap in half, making them unusable. I thought I'd try once more (bearing in mind that I had already started a project that was only half way done) and thankfully I'm happy to share that I had a great improvement ... as only 2 of the cans immediately blocked and became utterly useless.Quite honestly I wouldn't even give this product one star. It's useless. Now before you think 'poor guy, but I'm sure I won't have his bad luck' do you really want to risk buying a product that there is a good chance will just not work, leaving you having to go through the hassle of returning, getting a refund and then looking for something else that matches the half painted object you were trying to spray that also perfectly matches the rubbish you just sent back. No I didn't think so.

used this paint to spray an old brass standard lamp base, covers really well and dries really quickly, now have a fab new lamp for very little cost

Good colour and nice textured effect, however I found it frustratingly difficult to avoid overspraying when first pressing down.Also one of the three spray cans I bought was temperamental and inconsistent in spraying on pushing down. I wonder if a spray gun tool would have avoided these problems in application. Too late now.Had to buy yet another can to cover up the patches that required sanding down because of the paint running.

As in title, arrived fast well packaged good courier, but not fault of seller the product is not as manufacturer says. No it will not cover 5m2, it is hard to adjust distance not to waste it spraying the air or being too close so it comes out too wet hence the textured look is not as dry textured look. Otherwise, it does produce nice textured paint if all conditions are met. However to paint two big garden mirror frames it took so many of them that it's not worth all the hassle and agro and cost. Costed me more then mirrors themselves! Ended abendoning it all and buying new mirrors to paint with tin paint. Won't get the texture but there is no way I'll risk buying different brand one or so. Furious with manufacturer. Got few at local B&Q till I discovered they are cheaper from amazon but the 2 from B&Q had nozils not working at all so £30 went into smoke without even geting a dust spec of the spray coming out! If you can find paint colour you look for, buy it in the tin. Sprays seem extremely high risk.

I bought this product to add tree-like textures to my landscape models. It did a great job.

Perfect for sprucing up garden pots

The first two cans were faulty and had to be returned - no nozzle supplied on first and no output from second. This one worked, but has no discernable texture to it and is a pale metallic bronze in colour, nothing like the Autumn Brown title or ca or illustration colour. Can almost empty on a 0.2 sq.m. project. Other stone/fleck aerosols were much better than this. I honestly can't recommend this and will not buy again.
