The Worst Wedding Date (Three BFFs and a Wedding) Review: All the swoons, the laughs and the love - Phew this book. It was definitely a stay up too late, cannot put it down kind of book. It is a delicious perfection smorgasbord of passion, sweetness, acceptance and love all sneakily wrapped in a snort worthy romcom. It is story full of swoons, quirky townspeople, love, absurdity, drama, sweet moments, strong families, dysfunctional families, steam, painful pasts, secrets, revelations, and all the love. And while the book is hilarious, it is also a deeply emotional book so expect to feel all the big feels - crying, swooning, gasping, cringing, teeth gritting, laughing, and cheering. At its heart, it’s a story of damaged and bruised but not broken people who find their way out of their assigned boxes together by owning their choices, recognizing their scars, embracing life, and deciding to be the best version of themselves regardless of what other’s think. Laney and Theo’s love story is an enemies to lovers, destination wedding, only one bed, best friend’s brother, childhood crush love story with a side of secrets. Laney and Theo have had a contentious relationship their entire lives. She is the perfect one and he’s the never good enough one. So when Laney is tasked with babysitting Theo by Emma, the bride, her best friend and Theo’s sister, in order to help keep the groom, Chandler, happy, it is the hardest type of favor to say yes to but Laney does. But the onerous favor morphs and evolves into something much deeper and much more meaningful for Laney and Theo but also for everyone else. The journey to their HEA is a carefully crafted and expertly delivered joy to read. The book is well written, includes witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, hilarious moments, and an engaging storyline. I will definitely be reading and listening to this book again. I am also super excited to read more books in this series. Review: Entertainment in the form of a book! - The Worst Wedding Date, is definitely my favorite read of Pippa Grant’s. This story had me laughing out loud, and kept my attention from start to finish. When I picture Snaggletooth Creek, I picture the town of Bluebell from Hart of Dixie. The character dynamic's I found to be very entertaining. Delaney, aka Princess Plainy Laney, is hands down one of my favorite female main characters to date, her character resonates with me. I was excited to see her character growth throughout the entire story. The chemistry between Theo and Laney, in my opinion felt genuine, and that their relationship was able to blossom out of friendship. My heart felt for Theo, his character is the misunderstood bad boy, who is a cinnamon roll at heart. You can guarantee that if something is to go wrong Theo is in the vicinity, his character is the perfect amount of hilarious and serious. I’d let him bake me cookies any day. If you are in the mood for a best friend’s brother, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, opposites attract romance, I highly recommend The Worst Wedding Date. I am looking forward to reading what is in store for Emma, after the debacle Chandler, as put her through.

One of my favorite romance reads of the year... 5+ stars!
How dare Pippa Grant create a male character to challenge Hayes Rutherford and Cooper Rock for (shared) top spot as my favorite PG (that's Pippa Grant, not parental guidance) hero! Now, Hayes and Cooper are going to have to share space atop that list with Theo Moore, loving older brother, promoter of fun and dares, kitten wrangler, presumed troublemaker, and knitter extraordinaire with a twist. He's paired with Delaney Kingston, devoted daughter, loyal best friend, rule follower, beauty with a brain, and babysitter of a certain (accidental) troublemaker during his sister's (aka her best friend's) wedding in Hawaii. Their book may be called The Worst Wedding Date, but it very well may be every romance reader's best weekend romance read date. And I suspect it's a series starter, too! There's just something about seeing a main character's layers get peeled back one at a time as their story progresses that makes a reader like me become even more emotionally invested in that journey towards a happily-ever-after. Those missteps and stumbles--even the ones that make me want to smack them upside the head--and watching them as they get back up and figure out how to right the wrongs endear them even further. I don't expect perfection from my main characters; being flawless would make them rather boring. In Laney, we have a heroine who's never crossed any sort of proverbial line, not even getting close to skimming it. All these expectations lined up one both sides so as to keep her on the straight and narrow. Then there's Theo, a hero with assumptions stacked up against him, people judging him for follies of youth. She thinks she's too plain and straight-laced for him; he believes he isn't worthy of someone like her. I go into a Pippa Grant read knowing I'm going to, at the very least, laugh out loud a number of times. But there was something about this newest book of hers that caused a pinch in my chest, reminding me that my heart wasn't all that cold after all. Maybe it was because there were bits and pieces of both Laney and Theo that reminded me of myself and experiences that I went through as well. Grant delivers her usual combination of heart, heat, and humor, but this felt like it had an extra dash of oomph. This also felt like a series starter, what with Laney's besties being as standout supporting characters as they were, plus I wouldn't mind getting to know a particular set of triplets better (just putting it out there). All in all, The Worst Wedding Date has turned out to be one of my most adored romance reads for 2023 (I'm sure Hayes and Cooper concur). Five-plus stars!

This was a fun enemies to lovers romance set around a wedding. It's Theo's sister and Laney's bestfriends wedding to her longtime boyfriend who has a tiff with Theo. I liked the way Laney & Theo were entirely opposites but somehow they just completed each other. He taught her to enjoy her life while she bought the much needed stability and discipline in his life. While the concept was fun you need to let go off logic if you really want to enjoy this story because there were so many things that did not make sense. The entire plot was a mess but it was definitely entertaining. There were so many funny moments and the side characters were well utilised. Overall I enjoyed reading the book but I felt like it was just too long.

I won’t recap the story, so that spoiler alerts don’t slip out. I just wanted to say that this story, pulls you right along with the characters and the various situations they found themselves facing. A very well written story, with a quick pace, that takes you through the gamut of emotions. I giggled, laughed out loud, held may breath, and then basically cried through the last 2-3 chapters and epilogue. Without much thought, I’m positive you will be able to relate to the characters, be able to say to yourself that sounds just like….. Enjoy the read, I certainly did

This book's classic Pippa Grant - laugh out loud funny, a perfect balance of swoony and steamy scenes, an amazing cast of characters and the cutest animals. I absolutely adored it! Theo, in fact, has become one of my favorite Pippaverse heroes and I can't wait for more of Snaggletooth Creek! Looking forward to Sabrina and Emma's stories (and more of the triplets).

What I liked were the two main characters who were well developed and had depth. What was quite a stretch in terms of suspension of disbelief was the setting. A run down resort with employees jumping ship at top speed and a whole wedding party who doesn’t blink an eye that there is no restaurant, no service and the whole area falls apart. And the heroes save it all. Really?

Laney and Theo are just such amazing characters they deserved an entire series about them. I want to see more of them, their relationship, career and life in small city
