This is a great way to control my outdoor shed door. Too often, the wind catches it and blows it open, hard and too far, stresses the hardware. This opener controls it, lets it stay open without wind gusts slamming it too far open, and closes it softly and automatically. Installation is easy enough, just be sure to measure as you go along, so that everything lines up. It's forgiving, but a little extra care is worthwhile. Looks good too. It was cold when I got this, so it took a little while for me to finally get to this. The only issue I have is that I can't figure out how the hold open feature works. It would be nice not to have to prop the door open at times.

Ordered this door closer to replace one where the fluid all leaked out. This door closers plastic cover was absolutely destroyed when it arrived. I would like to have used this to fix the door but without a cover it won't fly.Overall, I'm pretty sure this would work if it wasn't damaged.

Remember to read the instructions carefully because they’re a few configurations to consider before installing it. Best to have a second person to help because this thing is heavy and it helps to have someone hold it while you tighten it down. Other than that very simple to install.

Heavy duty door closer! Not too hard to install but it will wear you out if you have to hold it up for too long because it has some weight to it. Does close with some force and has a very smooth operation. Comes with everything you need to install it on most doors. Definitely recommended if you have a huge door!

I consider myself to be a little handy, so I installed this on the door leading from our garage into the house and only 15 minutes. There are different settings based on how hard you want the door to close and that's pretty easy to adjust. I would read the instructions first before starting to install it as there are different ways to install it. Based on your door configuration door trim. Whether you want it on the inside or the outside and other considerations. I would definitely buy it again.
