★★★★★ Noticeably Cleaner Air and Whisper Quiet After using the BLUEAIR Blue Pure 311i Max Smart Air Purifier for several weeks, I can honestly say it’s one of those purchases you don’t realize you needed until you have it. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is. On the lower settings, it’s barely noticeable, making it perfect for a bedroom or living room. Even on higher speeds, the noise is more of a gentle white noise than an annoying fan sound. The setup was quick and easy. Connecting it to the app took just a few minutes, and I like being able to check the air quality, adjust settings, and set schedules right from my phone. The Auto Mode does a great job of increasing and decreasing fan speed based on the air quality in the room, so I rarely have to think about it. Within a few days, the air in our home felt fresher. We noticed less dust collecting on surfaces, and family members with seasonal allergies commented that they were waking up less congested. The unit also handled cooking odors much faster than expected. The only downside is the cost of replacement filters, but that’s fairly standard with quality air purifiers. Considering its performance, energy efficiency, and smart features, it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make. Pros: * Extremely quiet operation * Easy setup and intuitive app * Effective Auto Mode * Helps reduce dust, odors, and allergens * Attractive, modern design * Energy efficient Cons: * Replacement filters can be a bit expensive Overall: 5/5 stars. If you’re looking for a reliable smart air purifier that actually makes a noticeable difference in your home’s air quality, the BLUEAIR Blue Pure 311i Max is an excellent choice.

CR Recommended and very well built! Works great and easy setup.
So far, we are very pleased with Blue Air! We purchased a Pure 211i Max for our large living area and a 311i Max for our master bedroom. They both work really well and we leave the 211i on Auto and both are quiet. If you vape or smoke, it kicks in very high for a short time then returns to a very low operating state. We program the 311i to maximum speed at night for sleep noise and love it. We've noticed a lot less dust and our house smells better too. These units get a good rating on Consumer Reports and they appear to be very well designed and made. Easy operation, just wish the filters were a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend Blue Air!

9 Month Review - Buy this.
Owned this for nine months now and just replaced the filter for the first time. We have a large house with old carpet, and a dog that sheds a lot. I love this air purifier every. day. I am overstimulated by sound VERY EASILY, and this purifier is quiet enough at fan speed 1 that it never bothers me. And it has a night mode that is even quieter. Fan speed 2 and 3 are a little louder of course, but not obnoxious. Sounds like a small 3-speed circular fan like you turn on in the summer. My favorite thing about this purifier (besides how well it filters the air, which is noticeable because old-carpet-and-dog smell doesn’t hit guests in the face) is how WELL MADE it is. They paid attention to the little details when they designed this- I mean they sewed HANDLES onto the filter to make it easier to take off. This is a lifetime product. You can easily disassemble it, the pre-filter is machine washable so you never need a new one, and the replacement filter was only $40 and I got NINE MONTHS out of my first one. As you can see in my video, the filter really works. There was even loose dirt left behind at the bottom. They put instructions for replacement on the new filter box, but you can also find info in the app. The app is also so helpful and easy to use, you can customize the machine by setting schedules or dimming the brightness of the controls, and it keeps up with your filter life and air quality readings. If you have an old house, pets, kids, or you just really like clean-feeling air, I cannot fathom a better choice.

Excellent pollution and smoke removal
We live in the treasure valley area of Idaho that has been experiencing a high amount of smoke (aqi between 150-400 for three weeks now) and we have two young asthmatic children. This cleaned the smoke out of our house (outside air comes in through vents on the second story that are unreachable due to building codes) within a day. Not only this but our house now smells like nothing. With three children and a dog I gave up trying to make the house smell either like nothing or “good” years ago. No matter how much I cleaned it was there. Food, trash, mud, kids, spills, dog hair, wet dog smell, stinky dog breath. All the smells. Gone. One did a good job in our 3600 sq open concept two story home but struggled in the two story foyer. Bought a second one and have no regrets. This one is also much quieter than the smaller levoits we have in the bedrooms

A Game Changer for Our Living Situation – Just One Small Flaw
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5 Stars “A Game Changer for Our Living Situation – Just One Small Flaw” This air purifier has truly been a lifesaver for our family. We’ve been living in a hotel room with our kids for the past two years due to the rising cost of living, and having clean air in a small space 24/7 is essential. This device has made a noticeable difference in our room’s air quality — we use it constantly. What we love most is the app integration. It alerts you when it’s time to change the filter, gives you updates on your air quality, and even allows you to order replacement filters directly through the app. That kind of convenience is priceless for a family like ours. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to one design issue. Our toddler — who’s almost 3 and full of curiosity — managed to drop a pen into the fan area. It chopped the pen in half and left ink everywhere. While we were able to remove the pen and clean it, the real challenge was getting to the fan mechanism. It required removing screws and disassembling part of the unit, which felt out of place since the rest of the design is very user-friendly. If there’s one suggestion I could offer the manufacturer, it would be to make the fan compartment more easily accessible for maintenance, especially for families with small children. That said, we absolutely love this purifier and highly recommend it to anyone who needs reliable, round-the-clock air purification in a compact space. It’s been a game changer for our home away from home.

Clean Design, Strong Performance, and Decent App
The Blueair 311i Max has been a great addition to our bedroom and has dramatically helped air quality having pets and as someone with typical seasonal allergies. Setup was easy and intuitive, and connecting it to the app was straightforward. The design is modern and clean, so it blends into the room instead of looking bulky or industrial. If you are researching air purifiers, it is important to understand how coverage ratings work. The large square footage number is typically based on running the unit at maximum speed and achieving roughly one air change per hour. In practical use, most people run these at lower speeds for noise and filter longevity. For meaningful air cleaning, around 4 air changes per hour is commonly recommended, and if you are more sensitive to allergens you may want even more. These units are designed to clean a room, not an entire home, so sizing appropriately is key. In day to day use, this model performs very well for particulate matter (PM) like dust, pollen, smoke particles, and general airborne debris. Auto mode responds quickly to PM spikes and adjusts fan speed accordingly. On lower speeds it is very quiet and unobtrusive in a bedroom. At higher speeds you will hear airflow, but it is smooth and not harsh. What is nice is that it has a power loss recovery where it will return to its last set mode when power is restored in case of a power outage. One thing that really stood out to me is how much dust, hair, and other allergens the pre-filter alone traps. It is honestly a little shocking and really puts into perspective how important a quality filtration system is. Even with consistent pre-filter maintenance, when I eventually replaced the main filter it was clearly very dirty with trapped particulate matter. That alone justified the investment. For maintenance, you can vacuum the worst of the trapped debris off the fabric pre-filter, but a proper wash is really recommended. Just slip it off, wash it, let it air dry or gently tumble on low, and put it back on. The app will remind you about filter life and maintenance, including pre-filter cleaning, which is helpful. When it was time for replacement, I switched from the standard filter to the Allergen version. I have been happy with its performance, although I did not notice a dramatic difference compared to the standard filter. Moving forward, I may go back to the regular filter depending on availability and cost. Blueair also offers a SmokeBlock option with a higher carbon density if VOC/ odor control is more of a priority. It is worth noting that this unit focuses primarily on particulate filtration. While it will help somewhat with Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) over time, serious VOC removal requires a significant amount of carbon or carbon zeolite media, which brands like Austin Air are known for. Something I am considering in adding to further improve home air quality. The app is well done and practical. It shows general PM trends, logs spikes, and allows manual control. Being able to adjust it from bed is a nice convenience. It has an auto mode, night (turns off less) and then 3 manual fan speeds as selectable options on the device. App will provide you with some additional timers options, smart location options to turn device off and on when you leave the home etc and gives a little more granularity to the fan speeds allowing you to dial in a speed that you like. I don't use these all I will usually leave it on Auto or manually set a speed. Overall, if you size it correctly for your space and expectations, this is a well-built, effective room purifier. It looks good, runs quietly, is easy to maintain, and delivers strong particulate performance. I would definitely recommend it for bedrooms or medium-sized living spaces where clean air matters. I am very happy with this purchase!

Don't delay, buy today!you'll honestly feel so much better&air in your place will smell &feel crisp
My eyes no longer water indoors and my place actually smells cleaner if that is possible. This time of year is very bad for me with my seasonal environmental allergies and I have to say I am not sneezing and my eyes are not watering as they usually do when I'm indoors. And I'm a little scared to say it because I don't want to bite my head off, but my migraines seem to be less as well. It just has a different feel all together inside my house and I love it. I bought two units one is in my main living area and one is in my bedroom. They are nice looking they don't stand out with this big white hard plastic unit I love the way they paid attention to design when they made this. I have not gotten around to fiddling with the settings yet but I will do so and if I have any problems which I do not expect, I will update my review but as of right now go out and buy this! There is so much junk in our air these days this is a game changer. Go get it.

Get the 311i Max Purifier - Backed by Amazing Customer Service
This air purifier changed our lives by eliminating fine dust (due to living in a windy desert). Our home stayed clean and allergies were greatly reduced. I sang it's praises and even gave one as a gift. But one month before the 12 month warranty expired, it just stopped working. I contacted customer service who replied quickly with 4 different procedures to try. Nothing worked. So they promptly sent a new unit - Hooray! But less than 2 months later it did the same thing, just kept turning itself off. I almost cried, because I REALLY like this unit - it's quiet, efficient, easy to maintain with a valuable phone app. So again I emailed Customer Service, who replied the SAME DAY (who does that?). Without any questions or insinuations - a new unit was sent the next day. I'm hoping it was just a weird fluke that both units did the same thing and this one will hum along for several years, because IT REALLY WORKS - providing clean air.

Excellent air purifier
I purchased this air purifier to supplement a larger Blueair unit (211i MAX) have for cleaning the majority of our 1171 sq ft condo. This purifier sits in the main hallway to cover areas the larger Blueair unit does not. The setup was fast out of the box. Wi-Fi is enabled, so it was just a case of adding it to my BlueAir app on my phone and connecting it to my home network. The device provides detailed air quality readings on the app and can be programmed for on/off schedules, display brightness and air filter life; the latter is important to know when deciding to reorder new filters. Maintenance is quite easy: each month, I vacuum the outer pre-filter and open the unit (turn power off) to vacuum the filter chamber. The app will advise if the pre-filter needs cleaning. There is a geofence option [called 'Welcome Home', to turn the purifier off if you are away at least 3 km and turn it on within the radius. The unit is well-made and does the job and why I purchased a second unit.

Quiet. Cool interface. Looks nice. Really happy with this air cleaner.
Great machine. You pay for the quality but it's quality you get. I use it in my bedroom for allergy season. On night mode, it is impossible to hear. On level one, you can barely hear it. I keep it on level one. Automatic works well - the speed increased when I had a smoky air fry. The design is nice, and well thought out. The fabric prefilter is super easy to remove and wash. The Bluetooth connection works well and it's nice to see the current and history of how clean the air is. There are no cons here. Great unit.

Recommended…but…
Update#1: Here we are about 11 months in and this unit has developed a couple of annoying glitches. It still performs its primary function well. It has developed a slight, but audible, buzz or humming sound on fan speed three. The air quality sensor is unreliable rendering the auto function non-functional. Very happy with this air purifier. It has successfully handled smoke from wildfires over the past two years.
