Our 4 yo absolutely loves it
This is how you make a little board gamer! We tried some board and card games before, some were loved, some were okayed. This one was an absolute hit from first go. We played in a group of 5, 4 of which were grown ups, but all had great fun. The rules are very easy and quick to understand, and the game develops strategic thinking even in 4 year olds. And it's cooperative which removes the kids frustrations when they lose.

Cute theme, but not that exciting
We love cooperative board games and peaceable kingdom have some great ones. We picked this one because it felt a bit different from your typical 'move pieces around the board' game. The aim is to collect four coloured gems (by collecting sets of matching-coloured fairies) to power a magic wand before Mr Winter manages to freeze the garden by putting snowflakes on the flowers. This game is 100% luck. You win or lose based on which order the cards come out of the deck, and there's no opportunities to make any real decisions or use even basic strategy. It doesn't give that satisfying feeling of achievement when you win because the game basically plays itself and you just move the bits around as instructed. It might work for very young children but even my seven year old seems a bit old for it. We much prefer Hoot Owl Hoot (which lets you talk through your choices and plan ahead in a very simple way) and Dinosaur Escape (which has a memory matching element) from peaceable kingdom - both still very easy beginner co-operative games but which feel more engaging.

unexciting game
slightly over complicated instructions and as i grown-up i found this game mundane. the girls (7,8years) like the pictures. the game takes about 20min to play and is played with fairly regularly. the board and cards are made of nice and thick cardboard so should last well.

Four Year Old Niece Loves It
This is incredibly sturdy for a board game, a super cute concept, pleasing design and very cooperative. Gave it to my niece for her 4th birthday and she is obsessed with it. We make it more fun by sending the triplets (three of a kind fairies) "to bed" (discard pile) with kisses and Mr. Winter with a request not to come back. She thinks its hilarious and adds clever little things like the three fairy cards physically pushing the gemstone into the magic wand and crossing her fingers before each draw. It's a quick game so doesn't take a large time investment. We haven't played it with other kids yet, but have played it with Grandma and Aunts and it is bearable for mom and other adults to endure. Some kids games can be so tedious. (I mean this one will get tedious eventually (she asks for it every single day) but the prettiness of it helps...Five stars. Wish there were more kids games likes this. For sure get it for the young'uns in your life.

4 year old loves this.
My daughter is 4 years old and is just starting to get into board games. Most games are too advanced for her, but she loves this game. It’s played as a group so we all try to win together. It’s a fun group game and she absolutely loves it. It’s easy to play and learn for her. She cracks up when she gets “Mr. Winter” and we all go “Oh no, Mr Winter!” If you have a young child looking to get into games this is a great game for young toddlers.
