ESSAGER 8 in 1 USB C Hub with M.2 SSD Enclosure, 4K HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen2, 100W PD, Aluminum Alloy Enclosure for PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs

A while back, I retired an old laptop and decided to re-use the SSD in it and I found this hub that has room for a SSD. Since I need a hub anyway for connecting to various other things when I travel, this seemed to be a good idea, and it was. Recognized the SSD, no problem. If you have a single sided SSD (components stick out on one side...), then you have plenty of room. If you have a double sided SSD like I used, it can be a bit of a tight fit, but it did work (just). A word of warning...this thing can get hot if you transfer a lot of files. Not too warm for unsafe operations, just don't rest your fingers on it. ;o)

I am happy with the quality and performance of this equipment. I had to salvage an SSD from a dead HP Omen laptop. Swapped the drive into this unit and now have access to all the data for transfer to another laptop. Bonus is to attach more devices as needed to my MacBook Pro M3 Max with only 3 USB-C ports. Will run dual HDMI with no problem. One from the MacBook, the other from the adapter.

Disappointed that it's flaking out after less than a year. Everything drops out after 5-10 minutes of use, feels warm / HOT. SSD works perfectly in a different USB enclosure.

Appears sturdy and well made. It gets warm when in use so give it adequate ventilation. Comes with a tiny screwdriver and a piece of silicone to conduct heat (I guess?) from the SSD to the case. Adequate number of USB ports, with the card reader providing an extra bonus. All in all appears to be a very good value.

It's looks like a well built USB3 hub with an M2.SSD with a small footprint (small enough to fit in in a holder on a laptop) and has a reasonable speed. It worked flawlessly for three months, and then it started sporadically connecting (failed USB connector). However, after talking with Essager, they quickly sent out a replacement unit which is functioning perfectly again.

Throttled to 30MB/s for all storage options on Android. Fine for laptops. Speeds not right for Android devices.

I love this thing. I primarily bought so that I could connect my Surface to a TV. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it functions as a miniature docking station. I absolutely love the fact that I can have a high capacity SSD so I no longer need to carry a bunch of thumb drives. It has enough speed for me tonwatch movies from the SSD. Perfect for the business traveler.

As advertised, works a treat, I added a 1TB NVME drive to it for use with my MacBook Air.

Produto chinês mas de muito boa qualidade, tanto na construção/acabamento quanto na funcionalidade. Cumpre o que promete. Pena que não venha com um adaptador de USB "C" para USB 2.0 ou 3.0 mas ainda assim vale a pena a aquisição. Recomendo.

Das Hab Funktioniert zwar, hatte aber so meine Probleme damit. Zum einen weiß ich nicht ob ich der einzige bin der in Zusammenhang mit WD SSDs Probleme hatte. Die Platinen der WD SSDs sind irgendwie optisch etwas dünner (hatte es mit Samsung verglichen) was dazu führte das dieser wärmeleitstreifen bisschen zu dünn war und die wäre nun nicht richtig abgeleiert wurde. Dies führte dementsprechend zu anderen Problem, wie SSD ständig überhitzte oder der Adapter nicht erkannt wurde oder ständig trennte und wieder neu verbunden wurde bzw. die SSD die ich drin hatte. bitte ein paar wärmeleit streifen extra bei legen in verschiedenen stärken. bislang funktioniert es bei mir zumindest, mal schauen wie lange.
