I got this DECOHS Pick Apart Foam Insert to customize storage for some of my tools and gear, and it works really well. The foam is dense but easy to cut, making it simple to create snug, protective spots for whatever you’re storing.I like that it comes in two different sizes, so you can layer or mix and match based on what you need. Worked great, just what I needed

I bought these to line a case for storing my pistols, and they work exactly as advertised. The pick-apart design makes it easy to carve out the right shape—though “easy” is relative. It’s more like playing Tetris with foam, and you need a little patience (and maybe a sharp knife) to get a clean fit.Once shaped, though, the foam holds the pistols snugly and securely, with no rattling or shifting around. My only gripe is that the foam isn’t the densest I’ve used—it does compress a bit with heavier items—but for the price, it’s a very practical solution.

This foam is exactly what I needed to rehab a storage box I used for a different camera. The multiple sizes made layering easy and allowed my to pick out different depths so that the new camera fit securely and in a custom sort of way. Upon unwrapping it puffed right up and then I threw it in the dryer to get it to fully expand in a short time rather than waiting over night. One of the few options in this category that had two different thicknesses that were actually usable; most others with two sizes only offer 0.4" as the second size. It was really nice that the additional layering size here was 1. Great product and great value!

Pretty good foam. I was able to create some protection for a brand new telescope.

Used this in a cardboard tray to make a transporter for my plants so they won't tip over in the car. Very easy to use and fits my plants very securely. You can do some pretty good fine tuning since the segments are small. Even the leftovers are useful Took apart and used some of the detached blocks to stuff in a gap in between work tables that was getting annoying and it worked out great. Could also squeeze them as a stress cube. Get creative! Comes in sealed packaging and puffs up quickly as soon as you open the package. I don't recall any annoying odors after opening the package.

Foam is good, easy to cut and worked out well enough. Only issue was from the vacuum seal. All of the foam is compressed into a flat package for shipping, and one edge never came back to normal shape. For my purposes it was not a game stopper.
