If you need to cut grass on a yard that is smaller than, say, the Ponderosa Ranch from Bonanza, then this is your guy. Pros: it's lightweight to transport and push; it's easy to assemble (4 bolts and wingnuts, two clips, and two foam handles); it's sturdy and well-constructed; the blades have adjustable height; and, finally, it's incredibly effective and does a great job. Kudos to whoever wrote the assembly directions with pictures so simple even I could follow them. I appreciate that the instruction manual didn't assume I knew how to screw in a wingnut and featured examples of the right way and a wrong way. Cons: took one star off because the bag attachment is flimsy and unnecessary.

This sat in my shed for a year until I finally watched a youtube video on how to adjust it.Pros- it goes pretty quick and it's simple. No gas. No batteries. Easy to store and maintain. You get a workout.Cons- It can take quite a bit of effort to push, especially if the grass is long. I think my whole body got a workout, but I especially felt it in my triceps. If you have bark or something nearby and one of those gets in the blade, it will stop it.My plan is to do it twice a week. That way, it will stay short enough, where I can knock it out really fast and painlessly. It will always look nicer, too.

Product works okay for thinner grass, if you have thicker grass you’re going to have to do 500 passes before it cuts. The grass gets stuck at the attachment points and is a pain to untangle. Don’t buy used, they dont give you instructions on how to put it together. I basically got a box full of parts and had to figure out how to put it together myself by looking at the pictures on Amazon of the product. The “set up” video on the item doesn’t help either. At the very least, if Amazon is planning to resell used products, that have already been opened and used by other consumers they should have to be required to include instructions on how to put it together. You have new ones available for sale so why can’t you just take a photocopy of those instructions and include it in the box of the used one? Very obnoxious, very annoying. What’s the point of having a “set up” video that doesn’t actually show you how to set anything up.

The product I received was impossible to assemble due to manufacturing defects.

I bought this to replace my previous reel mover my brother broke when borrowing. I have a small yard to maintain and a gas mower is a waste as it a battery powered one when I can mow it all in ten minutes with mechanical power. I would not suggest this for larger yards, as it can be tedious, but for small yards it is effective and cheap. Also this style mower does work great with normal grass, but does bad when it gets tall, so it does not work well if grass is 8-12 inches high. This is not a fault of the brand rather just the design of reel mowers in general.

Reel mowers cut the grass way better than rotary. You must overlap about 2 inches and to keep the blades working perfectly for the long run, you must spray WD 40 lighly on all the blades by rotating them carefully with your hand. I do this on an old piece of cardboard before every use. The blades slide by the sharpening bar on every turn and do not squeak. Looks like a fairway!

Wurde innerhalb von 2Tagen geliefert. Einfach zu montieren - nur 4 Schrauben und zwei Klemmen. Dann ging’s los. Musste dann noch einmal kurz die Schneidmesser einstellen, damit der neue, feine Rasen sauber geschnitten wird. Das Ergebnis sind saubere Schnitte und nicht abgerissene Halme, die bei neu gesätem Rasen noch schädlicher als sonst sind.Die in einigen Rezensionen angesprochene Lautstärke kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.

Brought as a quick buy as my old mower broke and my garden is starting to look like a jungle. Cheap and cheerful buy arrived the following day. Was easy to set up. Cuts the grass brilliantly have to go over the same spot a few times due to how long my grass is and hard to push over some clumps of grass I have but overall I’m quite impressed and don’t have to bugger about with extension leads and it’s very quite. Great buy!
