Part seams decent, but would not fit my 1978 Johnson 4hp. The blade is designed right but to fit on the shaft but its to big and there is a clearance issue. Strangely enough it actually would fit the 1982 Johnson 2hp I have.

It's a propeller. It goes right on the shaft and it works. If you have the specific boat motor that it is specified for, it will work for you. Yes, it's plastic, but it is plenty strong for a 4hp motor.
