Wore these shoes to Skellig Michael in ireland!
These shoes are great to wear and helped me survive 7+ days in Europe. Those whom have traveled to Europe know how uneven the grounds and road can be and how quickly the weather can change. These shoes were my go-to and all I wore since they were so versatile. So I did A LOT of walking in them. Hours and hours on end. Just like any other shoe, it takes some time to break in but once they are, they're pretty comfortable, stay secure, and breathable overall. They have survived all types of uneven grounds, rocky roads, gravel roads, dirt roads on a farm, walking in a city, rainy weather, cold weather, hot and humid weather, bus rides, you name it. Never had any issue and the drizzle mint is a good color. Not clunky or bulky either which is a bonus. And they were easy to pack in my travel cube shoe bag. The picture shown is from Skellig Michael in ireland where you're hiking up over 600+ uneven stairs up a mountain in the middle of nowhere but surrounded by the Atlantic ocean. You could easily fall off of the cliff if you weren't paying attention. These shoes helped me stay balanced and comfy during this hike. 10/10

Durable after much use
I've had these for four years, and after very regular use in all kinds of weather they've held up well. I don't do heavy duty hiking, but use them on trails as well as around town. Comfortable and durable, fairly warm for the cooler months.

Comfortable
True to size and first fit felt great. Just received so I have not had an opportunity to take them out for a test hike.

Wide and lumpy
I had a pair of these in an earlier version and a half size smaller. The shoes run true to length but they are quite wide across the arch through the toe box and they are difficult to lace as snug as I'd like because the tongue has so much padding that it wads up and becomes uncomfortable. So what would happen is my feet would slide forward and press up against the toe because of all that extra width. And for the longest time I didn't realize that was the problem. I just thought they were too short/small. So I ordered them a half size larger. I can tell this would have stopped my foot from pressing up against the toe, but they are still far too wide for me. On this pair for the listing I'm reviewing, they tongue on the left shoe had an extra fold in it so even though I didn't lace them tightly the tongue was rubbing hard on my foot just with little steps around the living room carpet. Overall: these just aren't for me and I have to accept that. I don't have a particularly narrow foot and I do wear wool hiking socks but even with those thick socks there is just way too much room in the arch for me to get good support. I do like these though because they have great traction, are extremely durable, and are reliably waterproof. I think they look great for a hiking shoe too. If you have a really high arch or if you have feet that are wide in the arch area but don't qualify for a wide shoe size: these are going to be great for you. They also come in a wide width but I can't speak to those. Net: not for me, but I do still recommend these for the right person.

Great Shoe
I bought these for my sister. She works at a tree farm/nursery and her feet are wet and dirty all day long. After another major brand began failing her after only a month I suggested these. She says her feet are dry and the shoes are comfortable. This is her new brand.

Perfect!
I tried on these shoes at REI with the help of an associate and tested on the incline in-store. I also tried Keens but these were the best by far- fit like a glove. Came home and ordered these on Amazon for $60 less! They arrived in perfect condition. The shoebox and tissue paper were perfectly intact, looked brand new like in-store. I’ve worn these on two hikes now, and they held up perfectly! One of them was through water and I was shocked at how well the waterproof was. My ankle issues (wearing beat down old sneakers on the first 10 hikes of the summer, just getting into it!) have subsided wearing these; they have great arch support. The colors of the mint are so pretty especially when wet. 100/10 recommend these hiking shoes, especially for a first pair! The associate at REI advised that if you’ve never worn higher ankle boots and aren’t going out on 8+ mile hikes, it would bother you more than anything.

Second pair - I love these shoes!!
Second pair I've bought and I love them. Comfortable right out of the box. These are my everyday shoes. I have skinny feet, and the laces on these tighten down nice. Pretty light, breathable, and a great lug-style sole.

"Wide" sizes not for women's feet that actually are wide
TL;DR: The drizzle/mint color combo is very attractive, and the shoes seemed like they would be very durable and supportive. But none of the three sizes I tried fit my feet comfortably. The whole story: I'll readily admit that I have wide feet. I've been wearing Skechers size 8 wide in a variety of their styles over the last ten years, but I wanted something more sturdy for hiking. I thought I'd give these Merrells a try because they're pretty highly rated. Based on the reviews, I ordered these in both an 8 wide and an 8.5 wide. The 8 wide were so small that I could barely get my foot inside them. I was able to get my feet inside the 8.5 wide more easily, but they were still tight enough that I knew I wouldn't be able to wear them for long lengths of time or long distances. I didn't want to give up, so I decided to try a size 9 wide too. Those fit the best across the widest part of my feet, but they were too long, they slipped on my heels, and the arch support hit my right foot in an odd place that was uncomfortable. So, sadly, I have to return all three pairs.

Very waterproof.
The fit is exactly the same as the regular Merrell boots. Very waterproof so far. High quality boot for the money.

So well made and sooo comfortable.
I usually wear Keens and have done for years. I have a double knee replacement and need to wear supportive footwear which provides cushioning for the titanium prothesis. BUT I do believe Merrell's are above the Keens for their softer and gentler fabric around the ankle as my foot slips in. I do think I have now suffered from a very pleasant conversion.

comodísimos para MTB y senderismo
Cómodos, de buen tamaño y perfectos para largas caminatas. También los uso con mi MTB y son cómodos en pedales anchos como los Stamp.
