Total Honesty??
I love this DVD. Of course that is probably because I am a big wrestling fan and have been for a very long time. I am also a massive HBK fan so this was pretty much an essential purchase for me.There is lots of stuff on here that will interest a wrestling fan. That being said, we have heard much of what is discussed before and it's pretty obvious, to me at least, that there is a whole lotta lying going on ... from all quarters.Still I find this a highly enjoyable and interesting watch because of the histories of those involved. As long as you remember that some of what is said here should be taken with a pinch of salt then you may just find this one for you.

Awesome, Highly recommend it.
Awesome, nostalgic take on the most famous feud in the history of the wrestling business from the view point of the characters/personalities at the center of the controversy.Fantastic DVD and interview, very revealing and emotional at times for the Hitman and his plight.Changed the biz totally on it's head. Incredible, never again anything on that magnitude. For the fans of both and the wrestling biz.

Finding Peace...
I don't want to ramble on so I'll be brief.I'd given up hope on most WWE DVD releases some years back but 'Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart: WWE's Greatest Rivalries' is something I couldn't pass on.The sit down interview is a must-see for any wrestling fan and is a true chronicle of the rivalry with information provided by the men themselves and at a lot of points, information revealed to each other for the first time. As a die-hard Bret Hart fan and a huge fan of Shawn Michaels, I cannot describe the amount of respect I felt gathering throughout the 2 hour long interview. The description of their friendship was even more surprising and warm. It was great to watch as I had read Bret Hart's book a few months ago and this interview was a great supplement to it. The exchange between the two and the answers and stories were genuinely delivered. The final half hour is extremely overwhelming emotionally and it is evident from the two men themselves that this project/interview was about finding peace. This is an honest and insightful conversation that I wish would never end.The extras are great, including the Hall of Fame inductions of both legends, matches such as the epic Iron Man Match from WM12 as well as deletes segments of the interview, which are equally insightful and shines a brighter light on this close friendship that these two men once had and are now-rebuilding again. If there was a 6th star I could give... I'd ask for a 7th!

Genuine
I'm now 23 and growing up I was a huge Bret Hart fan. I remember my dad would record the pay-per-views to VHS and I'd watch them the next day after school. In 1997 at the time of the Survivor Series I was 9 years old, and remember being heart-broken by what has since been termed 'the montreal screwjob.'The rivalry on screen and off screen between Bret and Shawn is what sparked the Attitude era many of us grew up with and I'm happy to see closure bought to the events that occurred between these two icons of the 90s.Initially I had certain reservations about this DVD. The WWE is now made up of 'stars' who were lucky to make the undercard back in the 90s (Mark Henry, Randy Orton, Christian...). I was also unsure as to whether there would be a certain element of 'kayfabe' to the whole production, especially when I saw Jim Ross the interviewer. This is not the case. Old J.R asks all the right questions, and Bret and Shawn are very candid, honest and emotional in their responses. I also found this DVD to be very revealing about the lives these entertainers lead, as Bret says wrestlers have to entrust one another with their lives, there is a very strong bond between them. Most of all, it was nothing short of a pleasure to see two well-adjusted, mature and happy wrestlers after all the tragedies that have befallen many of our childhood heroes of the past years.I'd just like to say that Bret Hart is a class act, the best there was, the best there is and......

The greatest WWE documentary DVD ever. EVER
I've always been an HBK fan and was pretty indifferent to Bret during Montreal and in subsequent interviews he's done about what happened but having recently bought his book I warmed to him a bit. When he returned to WWE last year and called HBK out it was really emotional and I almost had a tear in my eye when they hugged but this DVD blew it all off the scale. They start off talking about how excited they were about being able to work together during the great tag-team era of the late 80s and how they initially liked each other when they both went single. I won't give anything away but suffice to say they're very honest about what they hated about each other (at times Shawn has little or no recollection of certain events but does not deny them). Towards the end Bret gets really emotional and he's choking back tears as he talks about his stroke and how he eventually found peace. Although Shawn has often publicly talked about his side of things you get the impression this is the first time Bret has opened his (pardon the pun) heart about the whole rivalry, Montreat, the "Sunny days" comment etc. Both men have long since made their peace and are good friends again but this interview takes you on a rollercoaster of what happened during that era. I've watched a lot of WWE-produced DVDs/documentaries and none came close to this. Like another reviewer said, if I could have given this more than 5 stars then I would. If you ever buy one wrestling DVD, make it this one.
